Dr. Mahl and Bunny have been so kind and compassionate. I just moved to Arizona a few months ago and had to basically change my whole life around. They made the transition easier for me when it came to having to switch doctors. I am so pleased with Dr. Mahl. I truly cannot thank him enough. He has helped me and taken the time to listen to me. He is also very thorough, he wants to know and understand his patients. A lot of doctors are in and out, thats it. He takes the time to get to know you and understands that we are all individuals and truly takes an individualistic approach to each patient. Bunny is so sweet, upbeat and she definitely contributes to the experience at Dr. Mahl’s office. I am so pleased and I would recommend him over and over again! I am proud to call him my Doctor.

If you are looking for a Dr. who is compassionate, puts you at ease and non judgmental this is your Doctor.
I, like others, have a great relationship with Dr. Maul. He’s not only stabilized my withdrawal from opiates to the point of non-​dependency, but also introduced a new medication for my bipolar. This medication is nothing short of a miracle. I’ve had Bipolar for 10 years and even though the other Doctor’s did their best to stabilize my mood swings, I still had feelings of despair and self-​loathing. (Those of you who have bipolar know exactly what I mean). It’s like I feel normal again.

Dr Mahl has changed my life! He is the first psychiatrist that took a proactive approach to my treatment and wouldn’t give up. While making some small changes, he educated me on what he recommended AND EXPLAINED WHY! His knowledge and experience with medicine is incredible. Dealing with addiction is enough on its own… Dr Mahl truly cares about his patients and wants the best for them. I trust Dr Mahl and could not be more pleased with the treatment and overall experience that I have had over the past few years. Even his office manager, Bunny, is on top of her game and goes above and beyond to provide the best service, not to mention acts as a middle man with insurance companies and pharmacies. I highly recommend Dr Mahl!

I was looking at something entirely different when I came across Dr. Mahl’s review. I was surprised to see that there were 2 very negative and rather interesting reviews written. First I have been a patient of Dr. Mahl for several years. I can only imagine how difficult it is to maintain a positive pt. base given the type of Dr. he is. Addiction Specialist. I have been in his office before when pt’s have demanded he give them medications. He has tried to be professional and explain to the pt that they did not do the required lab work or they missed the last appointment. I do not see Dr. Mahl for addiction issues but from the sounds of the 2 neg reviews I just read it sounds to me like another pt who just expected to be handed medication. Good luck with that.
My personal experience with Dr. Mahl has been every bit professional. I have found him very willing to listen to my concerns and willing to help my situation in every way.
Bunny the girl at the front desk is always pleasant. There was once a different office person, a male who I think the Dr. was trying to help out … I am personally glad to see he is gone. I for one am very happy to have found Dr. Mahl and will continue to see him.
