History

Established in 2010.

Our inspiration to incorporate Flashback Films began four years ago after we produced a video yearbook for Chrysalis Academy, a private school for children with autism. The directors and parents were so pleased with the photographs of their children that they asked us to become their exclusive school portrait photographer.

Four years ago, we focused primarily on child and school portrait photography, but are now pleased to offer a wide range of photography services including family, child & senior portraits as well as formal event and sports-​action photography.

Meet the Business Owner

Danielle M.

Business Owner

Danielle is the owner and primary photographer for Flashback Films, but is also a Sensory Specialist at Chrysalis Academy, a school for children with autism. Although Flashback Films has only been around for four years, Danielle has always shared the passion of photography with her father.

«My earliest memories of my love for photography are from taking portraits of my cat Sarah with my first Polaroid camera; but the real learning began when I learned how to take photos with my dad’s 1971 Canon camera.»

After learning the fundamentals of photography from a 35 mm camera, Danielle learned the art of digital photography through a combination of independent instruction and photography courses. Nowadays, Danielle loves photographing families, seniors, formal events and sports, but especially loves photographing children; especially children with autism. As a self-​motivated entrepreneur at heart, Danielle thrives on continuing to learn new photography techniques and styles.
