Awesome company. They did two moves for us to one house. They were fast so to make the move quicker. Handle the stairs with ease and were very friendly. The prices for both moved were reasonable. Will recommend them to anyone and if I have to move again will use this company again.

I made a move the beginning of this month from Mesa to Queen Creek. I could have not asked for a better company to work with! Leo and Dawane were our moving team and they made the move seem effortless. They were professional while at the same time friendly and it was obvious they have had time together to work so well as a team. The weather was so hot that day but the team kept up a good pace and I was very happy with the final hours tabulated. Their prices are more than reasonable and I would be sure to call Family Moving & Storage again if I found myself having to make another move! Thanks once again to Leo and Dawane!

Today was my first time using this company and my experience was amazing. My mother was there and even mentioned how she «appreciated their great attitudes and professionalism.» Would recommend their services to anyone and everyone who is in need of a great company to help them get «Home.»

Today was the second time I have used this company. The first move was last March. The truck driver called when he was on his way and got there ten minutes early, which I love. I absolutely hate waiting on a service, especially one that is as busy as moving.
Once the two movers started they worked fast. I had all my boxes marked and furniture ready to go. They loaded it with no issues, strapped it all in safely (I had a lot of glass and wood) and drove it to my new place.
The unloading went as smooth as the loading. There was no damage to any of my property. The guys also arranged all furniture where I wanted and set boxes in appropriate space. They were efficient and did a very good job. I only had one large load and the move was about ten miles. Let me say, I WILL NEVER MOVE on my own again. The price is well worth the service. If you prep before and have boxes taped and ready to go, like I think you should, it will save you some money.
I didn’t have any damage but I see in another review they did. I didn’t get insurance, but that’s a risk I took. Like I said, no damage.
Second move was this morning, I was helping a friend. We were having a hard time getting stuff up her apartments staircase. So, on a whim I called Jeff at Family Moving and Storage. I explained we had about fifteen big items we needed moved. He had two guys and a truck out in 90 minutes.
Also, his prices are fair. It would have taken us at least three days to move, which means missing work for my friend. Instead they had everything done under two hours. I recommend this company to any one.
Both experiences with this company have ben A++. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Moving day April 29^th 2015. My phone rang at 6:00am it was our mover Joseph’s Moving Storage calling to cancel our move due to lack of business ethics, but that is another Unilocal review. Family Moving and Storage stepped up after a phone call and promised a two man crew to move us by noon on the 29^th. Craig and Joe the moving team arrived on time and had us packed and ready to go in just a short time. They handled all of our furnishing with care. After arriving at or new home the unpacked with the same care as when they packed. I cannot say enough about the service received from Family Moving and Storage certainly 5 star. I highly recommend this company.

I used this company back on May 14, 2014 and was very pleased with their phone response and the guys working the truck at the time. They were clean, friendly and worked very hard in outrageous temperatures. There were no hidden fees, but keep in mind if you don’t pay cash you will be charged extra for using the credit card.
I would use these guys again in a heartbeat — hopefully for me I won’t have to do it again for a very long time!

I found family moving and storage online and saw they had good reviews. I called and easily got a quote and scheduled a move date/​time. My movers showed up promptly when scheduled and were very friendly. They took care in wrapping my furniture and taking furniture apart! I have never used movers before and have heard horror stories but i would recommend them to others!

Family Moving and Storage was great when it came to scheduling and moving my items! I called a couple of days before I needed to move and they were able to fit me in. They were very flexible with my time frame and were understanding when things were running a little bit behind. I definitely recommend them as their prices are very low compared to other moving companies and they did a wonderful job!

I have referred Family Moving & Storage to several clients and even my in-​laws! Yikes! :) All were happy and had no complaints with this company. I will continue to recommend them to clients, family and friends.

I contacted this company a few weeks ago and arranged for them to move my condo from DT Phx to Scottsdale. On the phone we went room by room discussing the furniture and stuff I told them I had a washer and dryer, a wine cooler and a floor safe. They said they charge for safes but asked its size, I was then told they would move it at no charge. It was recommended that I hire 3 movers instead of the the typical 2 because of the elevators I agreed as the logic seemed sound for expediting the move.
Moving morning came and the truck was on time. The paper work guy pulls out the work order and proceeds to tell me all the items on the sheet that I MAY be charged for and that all charges are to be paid by CASH or CERTIFIED CHECK, I told him that there was no mention of that when I scheduled the truck and then it was well you can pay by CC but it will cost you 3% more.
Loading of truck went well but very slow. it took them over an hour to make a 20 min drive. Upon arriving the paper work guy informs me that the charge is estimated at $ 1362.00 which included 4 rolls of tape and 2 rolls of shrinkwrap as well as a $ 35 each charge for the washer and dryer. I said there was no mention of additional fee fee for the W&D is response was you are lucky I didn’t charge you more because they are new a front load LG W&D and that he WASN’T charging me overtime… WTF was my response I agreed to a flat $ 90 and hour for 3 movers and a truck NO OT!!! I told them make it fast or leave it in the driveway.
Upon inspection they dented and chipped paint on a new dresser, chipped wood of an entertainment center and chipped the top of an antique credenza all of which was pointed out and documented with the paperwork guy he said they would prolly work something out as opposed to doing a claim and to call the company. While unpacking we came upon the box of dishes clearly marked fragile when we opened it everything inside was broken… EVERYTHING. We also found that a low vanity was missing. When I called the company to speak to the claim dept. I was treated poorly, because I was cheap and I didn’t buy their insurance so I wasn’t entitled to any compensation and that it would be a favor if the paid a portion of the repairs on the furniture. That they knew nothing of the vanity and the dishes we are S.O.L because they did not pack or unpack them. Mind you this box was not just mishandled it was dropped big time to smash all the dishes.
I could go on and on…
Bottom line is they are deceiving and shady they do not care about referrals or return business. They know that once they are there you won’t or can’t easily change your moving plans so they have you.

If I could give these people a negative rating, I absolutely would. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a company. I went through a very detailed run down of the items we needed to move and received a quote for $ 250. I was told I would receive a phone call the day before our move to confirm. I never received the phone call, so at 4:45pm the day before the move, I called THEM to confirm. They tried to get me to push our start time to later in the afternoon which I them was not ok as I didn’t want to be moving at the hottest part of the day in August in AZ or deal with traffic. The day of the move I was supposed to get a call 30 minutes in advance of the mover’s arrival. I never received that call, so when we reached my appointment time and no one had arrived, I called the office just to be told that they were going to be THREE TO FIVE hours late and had no intention of letting us know! When I told them that was unacceptable and at the very least I would be expecting a discount for the inconvenience, they acted as though I was completely out of line. Dispatch flat out refused to connect me with a manager or the owner. When the movers finally arrived 3 ½ hours late, I was able to speak with the owner on one of the mover’s cell phones. His name is Steve and he is one of the most condescending, rude people I’ve ever had the misfortune to encounter. He refused my request of a discount, he refused to give me even a simple apology saying this kind of service was ‘common in the transportation business’ and then proceeded to interrupt me to ask what I did for a job, blatantly implying that he believed I was too ignorant to be having a conversation with him. When I told him I’m a business consultant and that I make my living by helping companies become more efficient, he laughed out loud, told me I could keep my advice to myself and that I would now have to pay his movers in cash before they would unload any of my belongings. ABSOLUTELY MADDENING! The move ended up costing almost double what was quoted, though I can say that the actual moving staff were extremely courteous, hard-​working and apologetic of the situation. We tipped them very well as they were deserving of it, but I have made it a personal mission to let as many people as possible know what a crook and overall jerk the owner of the company is. BEWARE!!!
