Whether you’re out with friends for a pub crawl or wanting to spend some quality time out with your family/significant other, this little square is absolutely one of the best places to go in Chandler! They have a variety of boutique stores to serve your shopping urge, and a number of great establishments for a meal & a beer. My favorite spots to hit up with friends or my wife include Perch, Santan Brewery and The Ostrich. Parking is easy to find and FREE which is a huge score compared to DTPHX and Mill. I also can’t leave out the amazing holiday parade and tumbleweed Christmas tree lighting event that has been going on for approx. 60 years! Plenty of fun for the whole family.

I don’t think Old Town in Scottsdale has to worry. It was pretty scuzzy.

How cool is it that Chandler actually has an old fashioned town square where they actually hold events for city residents like Farmer’s Markets(every Thurs), Art Fair(every third Friday), and various parades and festivals on holidays. Plus it is fun to come down here any day since there is some cool public art, some benches in the paved part and also a grassy area for an outdoor picnic lunch. And surrounding the promenade are various shops and restaurants that are all great, too. Especially my favorite, San Tan Brewery!

The Historic of Downtown Chandler Promenade? Well, I do not know much of it since I have only visited it at least 3 – 4 times, but it does give me the vibe of the Wild Wild West feeling. Not too much of it since the older buildings got renewed and now looks more of a modern look. If you check out their downtown webpage, there’s events/festivals and farmers market which happens on every Thursday from 3pm to 7 pm! If you’re looking for ap place to grab a drink SanTan Brewing Company —
— Pretty popular and chilled Coach & Willie’s — — Seems to be a sports bar. Pretty cool hang out place if you’re with your fellas. And I believe they have Brunches over the weekend. maybe they have unlimited dranks ;) As you can see, the downtown website does have sections for food, shop, and play. Explore a bit and keep hydrated all! p.s — Funny story, when we came to downtown chandler to visit during Christmas, then town had a Christmas tree made out of tumbleweed and the reason why is because kids would actually burn down the actual tree. That is why they kept it as a tumbleweed tree instead of a the real kind. At least kids will be burning something that can be replaced unlike an natural Christmas tree.
