History
Established in 1968.
Originally established by legendary professional racer Bob Bondurant on February 14, 1968, the school has taught advanced driving skills to more than 250,000 students ranging from homemakers, racers and celebrities to teenagers, military and police officers.
Bondurant believed it was important to teach reaction skills and accident prevention to others who were interested in racing or becoming better drivers. His first school was established in Orange County International Raceway, near Los Angeles. Over the years, the school moved to nearby Ontario Motor Speedway, then north to Sears Point International Raceway.
In response to growing demand, Bondurant decided it was time to develop a state-of-the-art driver training facility. In 1990, the Bondurant School moved to its current location on the Gila River Indian Community outside of Phoenix, Ariz., adjacent to Firebird International Raceway.
