History

Established in 2006.

Lena is the owner of Lena’s Tailoring, she is also the head seamstress and can do great work to just about anything relating to fabric and sewing. She does all of her work with great care and accuracy, she feels blessed to be working with something she loves!

Lena started her career in sewing more than 20 years ago in East Europe working in a coat factory. In 1999 she came to America where they quickly settled down in Minnesota. From 1999 to 2004 Lena worked in a tailor shop in Hopkins, and in 2004 – 2005 she worked in a drapery room where she made custom curtains, pillows, window treatments and upholstery.

After working in the sewing business for so long Lena was feeling confident in opening her own shop closer to home. In 2005 Lena started working out of her home. Lena decided to open a shop in 2008, relocating the shop in 2013 to 117^th and Winnetka. Lena’s shop is Lena’s shop is a clean welcoming environment, equipped with two large well-​lit fitting rooms for the client’s comfort.
