History

Established in 1973.

Zorba’s was originally opened in 1973 by two businessmen from Chicago. It was bought by Jerry Heintze who owned it until 1997. His General Manager, Matt Mortenson, who worked there since 1982, purchased it in ’97 & is the current owner.

Zorba’s was closed on March 23, 2011 because of a fire. The entire restaurant had to be gutted & rebuilt & was closed for 55 weeks, reopening on April 12, 2012. One of the very few businesses to survive over 40 years, Zorbas is a favorite of alumni & locals!
