History

Established in 2013.

Sara Curtis is a private massage therapy practice that was started with the goal of offering affordable and effective therapeutic massage to Champaign-​Urbana and its surrounding areas. I’m happy to offer Swedish and Deep Tissue massage at my office, as well as on sight chair massage.

My love and understanding for the healing power of massage started at a young age. My mother had chronic pain for a very long time and I knew how much massage and caring touch helped her cope. I decided to go to school for massage therapy in in the fall of 2007 and attended a 12 month program at Parkland College in Champaign Illinois. There I was able to learn and understand more about why and how massage helps people not just feel well but also stay well. I live in Champaign Illinois with my beautifll family and I want to give back to my community through the benefits of massage and wellness.

I only use public transportation to get ALL around the C-​U area and my body feels the stress. I have been going to Sara for massages since she first became licensed. She has the knowledge of the human anatomy and the ability to identify where the body tension is coming from. Her subtle demeanor is very calming during the massage which helps when needing some quiet time to focus on relaxing and zoning out on the table. Every time I receive a massage from Sara the effects are long lasting. The energy that I get is always just what I need to keep me going for the long haul.
