Last Chance Thrift Chamblee

Fairly large thrift store but not one of the better ones. Bit of a mess inside. If you’re looking for something in particular, you might want to check it out or perhaps go to Goodwill on Buford Highway.
Parking is not an issue, that’s for sure.

I am the queen of diva, fashionista extraordinaire. I love love love this place. Yes you have to dig, yes it smells like a frigging thrift but that’s what it is. It doesn’t boast to be a second boutique although I purchase many great treasures here and sell to consignment stores and make a great profit. I love to shop so I turned it into a business. Monday is 50% off day but my favorite day is Tuesday .99 cent day where certain colored labels (changes every week) are only .99 cent. I have purchased London Fog, Liz Clairborne, H&M, Tommy Hilfger trench coats for .99 cents! I have found authentic luxury retail that needed a little mending and then was good as new! Why pay $ 500.00 when you can pay a fraction if you have the patience and open mind to look. I have a loyalty card after which I get an additional $ 5 off of purchases as well as $ 2 off coupons. It’s a thrift store not Sak’s, Nordstrom or Lord & Taylor but if you take your time you can purchase the same items the luxury retail chains sell. The staff is AWESOME!!! Never ever have a problem. I go after work so the store is usually a lot less busy so I can find treasures without the crowd.

This is the worst-​run thrift store in metro Atlanta. It’s extremely junky and they put just anything out, which is sad because the other Last Chance is so great. The prices aren’t that good either. I’m an artist and am always looking for picture frames to repurpose, and they are really greedy with the prices.

Purses are one of my favorite things to look for — but not here. I’ve never seen so many ripped and Slaughtered handbags for sale. Most places would throw them in the trash when they look as bad as they do here. While checking out the men’s neckties, I noticed a pile of Cheetos on the floor underneath the ties. There are some nice brand named clothes, but you have to hunt for them. Overall, really junky.
The staff was not friendly. Not enough carts for the number of people shopping. I do not plan to return.

Last Chance came to the rescue when we needed to kill some time while Curry Honda rejuvenated my car.
The Goodwill aroma greets you when you first walk in. It was a Saturday afternoon but not very crowded. I didn’t look at the clothes much (there sure were a lot) but the book and toy sections took me back. The Baby-​Sitter Club books? Man, I used to devour those things! I also could see coming here for Halloween outfit supplies.
I didn’t end up leaving with anything (not enough time was spent here) but my companion bought a 50 cent novelty item. Cheap prices and the check-​out lady was nice too.

I use to find all sort of goodies here but for the last year it has been the source of nothing but junk. It has a lot of clothes but not much else.

I went to this store for years when it was in Norcross. It moved to Peachtree Industrial 3 or 4 years ago. I tried shopping here several times on Monday. Finally, gave up! It smells (and I have shopped thrift stores for 15 years). On Monday there are NO employees on the floor so stuff is thrown everywhere. It looks like a dump. I even sent a note to corporate and they never responded. So I gave up. I now shop at Attic Treasures on Broad Street. It is small but beautifully organized. It is completely staffed by volunteers so it has limited hours.

Out of all the local thrift stores this one is the worst! The only perk of this store is the quantity of clothes but definitely not the quality! I have seen more ripped, torn and stained clothes that weren’t worth hanging up than any other thrift store. I understand its a thrift store but somethings they put out are simply garbage.
Mondays everything is half off but you have to be patient due to the amount of Spanish families that cut in line, don’t speak English and allow their children to throw toys at you, scream and kick you while the parents converse with employees. I suggest going anytime after 1 but before 5, I know you may miss out on the only decent items available but going early is NOT worth the headache!!!
The employees need to take control of the store and make it more customer friendly!!!

Is this a crusty dusty funky ol thrift store? Yes.
Does it smell like your Grandpa’s shoes? Sort of.
Can you get a bunch of cheap stuff? Mos def.
I don’t usually review thrift stores, but this place is a Halloween Mecca right now, so if you need cheap supplies, might be a good stop. I bought two full costumes for my daughter (harvest witch and separates for a zombie including a faux chain mail shirt plus some purple glitter) for $ 7.
This area of chamblee is a little golden triangle of thrift, actually. There are a few more up the road (St V de P & attic treasures and one I’m not sure of the name-​it is always closed early).
