Kru’s Outdoor Remedies

I had a leak in my ceiling/​roof, and after calling a few different companies that were just «too busy» to bother even talking to me I got a personal recommendation from a friend to call Kru. He answered his phone right away — there was no nonsense about leaving a message to see if he might call me back. I explained that my ceiling had been dripping, and with the heavy rain expected tonight and tomorrow, I was worried about the ceiling falling in. I might be a hypochondriac. Or I might have been totally accurate. Thanks to Kru, we’ll never have to find out!
He got my address and phone number, hung up to make some calls and shuffle his schedule around, and was at my house within the hour. He climbed up on my roof, found the problem, came up with the most effective and still cost efficient solution and saved the day. He was on the roof and up in my attic. We discussed what was done and the likelihood of it working and what to do if it doesn’t. A-​OK!
Since I had him captive anyways, and he can basically do anything, I picked his brain over a few other problems I have around the house. For one of them he gave me the name of a business that he’s given to other people and has used for his own house (while he was on the roof he handed me his phone and has his sweet mother, Barbie, give me the phone number!); for another problem he gave me a few tips and said if they don’t work to let him know and he’d give me the name/​number of someone else in his network of Super Friends who can solve my problem; and for another problem he told me how I could easily fix it myself to save me some money! So, basically, Kru fix or do almost anything. And if he can’t — he knows someone just as honest and trust-​worthy as he is who CAN.
Oh! And he’s available ²⁴⁄₇? YES. THAT just happened! So, if it’s 3 in the morning and my ceiling DOES fall in… I know I can call Kru! How relieved does that make me feel!!! Ten hundred percent relieved. (There’s only so much help I can get from the 1988 hardback publication of «The Way Things Work».)
Kru Olsen is a genuine, laid-​back, honest, polite, charming, and trust-​worthy kind of guy. As soon as I met him I felt like I’d known him forever. He seems like one of those people that really, truly, just wants to help people out for the sole purpose of making the world a better place. He’s the kind of guy I imagine when I think of a True [modern] Southern Gentleman, crossed with a hands-​on DIY Man’s Man, plus a dash of Lumberjack, and sprinkle of Biker: a completely awesome person and businessman.
I cannot recommend him enough.
