Ok, I’m a city girl… I live in a very small town now and after 6 quick months, I’m still surprised by things. We had out of town guest and wanted brunch. So, imagine my delight when I looked online and found Molly Pitcher’s Chicken and Waffles! I had visions of Roscoe’s in L.A. crispy fried chicken, fluffy waffles… we flew right over. The place is small, but cute with a friendly wait staff. They offer a baked omelet dish(seafood, veggies, or egg & cheese option); they are served in ramekins. The portion appears little but it’s quite filling. Now to that chicken and waffles. It’s NOT fried chicken! It’s Dutch, the meat is similar to what you would find in chicken & dumplings and comes with gravy. Color me foolish, I simply was not familiar! I can’t say I’m a fan of this Dutch staple, but I hear people love it! I will go back, I really loved the seafood baked omelet.

This is a great place for breakfast! The food is great! Service was very fast and friendly, if your in the area this is a great place to go. Try the baked omelet you can’t go wrong. The only thing I can say is the place is kinda dark from the street and may look closed but don’t let that detour you.

Family run, quaint atmosphere with quality food ingredients. I had the chicken and waffles which I find rarely. Most don’t compare to my grand moms but this came close. And I can say unequivocally its the best bacon I ever had. I don’t know what they did different but there was a ton of flavor. We ate there twice in the space of 2 days and both times the staff was very personable.

Great little spot for breakfast. We had the waffle, baked Ms. Molly omelet, and the rustic sourdough French toast. Everything was a delicious. Staff was attentive and friendly. Thanks Unilocalers for the recommendation.

The small size of this restaurant belies its quality. Service was attentive and friendly. I had beef au jus: the meat and sauce were great as were the French fries. I will definitely return.

Went in for breakfast at 11:05 and sadly they were unable our request to have breakfast which ends at 11:00. The food was ok, chicken and waffles so so but the service was pretty friendly.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Even the bran muffins are delicious. Yes, you read that right: bran muffins = delicious! I ordered the warm cinnamon apple & whip cream waffle with a side of homemade sausage, and my husband ordered the bran muffin with the Mr. Molly baked omelette.(We shared all of it so we could get a taste of everything!) Everything was perfectly done. The waffle had just the right amount of crispiness, the breakfast potatoes had great flavor, the baked omelette had the perfect balance of ingredients, and little surprising, perfectly chosen flavors popped up throughout the meal(like the hint of maple syrup in the sausage and the touch of cinnamon in the bran muffin). We will most definitely be returning here — not only for the mouthwatering food, but also for the friendly, cheerful service! If you’re looking for a great local restaurant with a comfy low-key vibe and you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for a good meal, you gotta try Molly Pitchers! :)

They only serve breakfast until 11 so if you have kids like me it is almost impossible to make it there on time. I had a gyro and my husband had a chicken and waffles. My gyro looked and tasted ok. My husbands chicken and waffle looked disgusting and it tasted ok. I also had a bean and bacon soup which was very watery! We will not be back. The only reason why I have it 2 stars is because the girls that work there are extremely nice. They were extremely nice so I think that’s why some people go back.

Came to Chambersburg for the Icefest. That was so-so but we stumbled upon Molly Pitcher Waffle Shop and we are SO glad that we did. Service was top notch and the chicken and waffles are amazing!

Their Chicken and Waffles was not what I was expecting. I drove to town just to eat the chicken and waffles and couldn’t wait to try it. I only ate what I did to be polite as I was talking to the owner, or who I thought may have been the owner. I gave 2 stars, because the staff was very nice and the place was maybe the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen.

My friends and I go out for breakfast a lot and as a result we have tried pretty much every non-chain restaurant that serves breakfast in the Chambersburg, Greencastle, and Waynesboro area. Molly’s is one of our favorites and we return regularly. There’s not a lot seating but there have always been tables for us and the service has always been good. Most places just serve your standard bacon, eggs, and pancakes type breakfast so I give Molly’s a lot of points for having a diverse menu. I’ve never had chicken and waffles anywhere else so I’m not an expert, but I like the gravy and shredded chicken version you can get here. Although the waffles are pretty good, my favorite thing to get here is a baked omelet. They come hot and delicious in little bowls and if you get them make sure you get sourdough toast too. I’ve never been here for lunch but if your looking for something different for breakfast I recommend Molly’s.

Very good. Had crabby omelette. Could use a bit more crab meat. Otherwise good experience overall. Waitstaff was very friendly.

I have never heard of nor seen chicken and waffles that had fried chicken in it, so I don’t think it’s fair to judge them on that. Chicken and waffles is a dish you make with leftover chicken from a roast or what have you that you pull apart into pieces and put over waffles with gravy. That’s how my grandmother has always made it, and that’s how I’ve always seen at the fairs around here or at diners. I gather from other reviews that Southern chicken and waffles is different, but this is the North and we like ours with gravy. That being said, we were pretty disappointed with our meal here. Chicken and waffles is one of the ultimate down home comfort foods. I love it. I kind of expected a place that has«chicken and waffles» in the name to be good at it. The gravy was flavorless. Just flour and water, at least that’s what it tasted like. Put some chicken broth or stock in it, or at least some salt and pepper! The waffle was soft and spongy like they made them ahead of time and kept them in a warmer and then collected moisture. I have no idea what the rest of the food tastes like, so maybe the rest is awesome, or maybe we caught them on a bad day…? I sum my feelings up with a resounding«meh.»

Loved this place! You walk in and immediately feel right at home. The waitresses were gracious and very accomodating. The food is amazing. I ordered kettle cooked oats and my hubby and girls ordered a big breakfast. Everything was scrumptious! You will love Main St in Chambersburg. Stop in at Molly’s for breakfast/brunch or lunch! You will love it!

Drove past this gem a few times over the years. We visited here last week for lunch. It was pretty packed, about every table was full. This is a breakfast and lunch only place. The menu features standard american food, such as waffles, eggs, sandwiches as well as a few Grecian favorites like Gyros. Ended up with the Poor Boy(8.50) which is a sub roll with meat, lettuce and tomato & sauce. Our party also tried the ½ chicken over a waffle. Off street parking, paid cash.
