I hate this place now
I have a PO Box here that used to be 24hours. Now they close the area for the po boxes and are only open Monday-​Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 11:30am and closed all Sunday. It makes it impossible to pick up my mail here. Awful!

I have a PO Box here and I can’t pick up my mail unless its during «work hours» because the place is always closed.
I can’t even pick up my mail at my convenience. It’s a shame because the staff is really nice, but they’ve lost my business.

They keep changing the hours.
Lobby for P.O.boxes now closes at 5:30 m-​f, instead of 6:00. Online, USPS website says it’s supposed to be 24 hours.
The boxes here cost more than neighboring post offices. Probably because it’s supposed to be extended hours.
Oh, and they now open at 7:30 instead of 7:00.

This post office seriously sucks. The employees are never helpful and being that I have a complicated work schedule, I have a PO Box so I can access my mail whenever I need. I understand that a few months back there was an incident that caused the lobby to be locked on Sundays. Today, (Saturday) I tried to pick up my mail for an urgent package and the entire building is locked. are you kidding me? Some notification that hours are changing would be nice. So I guess now customers can only access their po boxes during the week. fukn awesome.

This is the closest post office that has the machine for sending packages and mailers. They need more especially in Downey area. It’s more convenient when you have to send something after hours without having to stand in line.

How does this location have 4 stars? Each time I go to this location, average waiting time in line is 20 – 25 minutes, service is slow, and the staff members are rude. They have a sign that reads something like «new system. Please be patience» and it’s been up for a months now. I wonder if their new system is the reason behind their long waiting time. How long does it take for someone to learn the new system?

You guys mis-​routed my package. Supposed to be from CA to HI except you sent it to GUAM and now I won’t get it in time for my trip. So far it’s been delayed a week (plus the 3 days I already waited after it shipped) and still stuck in GUAM plus I can’t even call you because I keep getting a busy signal. I can’t track it because USPS tracking doesn’t give any info except «arrived here, on it’s way to there» I was told by the 800 number service that now because you sent it to GUAM it will take even longer because it will have to go through customs to get back into the US. This would have never happened if whoever sorted it could read or at least paid attention to what they were doing. And by the way it happened to 2 of my packages, not just one. You guys suck. What are the employees doing there anyway? How do you route it to GUAM? The extra delay due to customs is really frustrating because it shouldn’t have been like that all.

The staff here warrants five stars. I have a PO Box there and Connie goes out of her way to take care of the many packages I receive. The only drawback is the fact that the doors are locked after 6pm, so those with regular working hours can have a hard time picking up their PO Box mail.

The staff here are extremely friendly and courteous. The facility is clean and the grounds are always manicured. My only complaints are the lines are always long. They have four windows but there are normally just two clerks helping customers. The other beef is access to the post office boxes are restricted to day time hours only. If you have a daytime job… then you’re out!

Don’t get me wrong… The staff here gets a five star… The crowd here gets a one star. Equals 3 stars… Every time you come here, the line is out the door to get to the counter. The reason for this seems to be a, there is a shortage of personnel behind the counter… I get that. Obviously, the federal government is cutting corners and this in no way reflects on the competency and friendliness of the staff here… They are great. B, it seems like 95% of the people here that stand in line have no idea what it is they are trying to do… This seems crazy to me as most of these folks are well into their adult years and even though many of them are foreign, it seems that every one of them is making their first trip to the post office every time I am here… And that is a lot of times… When you have two or three people behind the counter, and every single customer needs step by step guidance all the way down to filling out the simplest forms, then this is what makes for crazy long lines and 20 minute waits… The other thing this place has a lot of, is bulk mailers… Beware of those people in line with white crates filled with envelopes… They are going to tie up a customer service representative for a long time also… Drives me nuts…

I like the USPS. Going postal? Not here, cupcake!
Although the nearest post office to me is the one on 183^rd, inbetween Gridley & Pioneer, I have a PO box at this location. The staff have always been friendly to me whenever I stop by.
I’m a big fan of the self-​service kiosks. Purchasing stamps, sending out letters and packages — I can get in & get out, all while bypassing the line, which varies in length depending upon the time of day.
Stamps increased yet again this year, but I don’t mind. The USPS has always been the cheapest and most reliable option, in my opinion. UPS and Fedex have nothing on them. Because of hemorrhaging money, there were talks of the USPS stopping home delivery on Saturdays, which I’m glad to say has not come to fruition just yet.
I’m an avid user of Flat Rate Priority Shipping. If it fits, it ships! I often send out packages of items I’ve sold on Ebay or to my horticultural buddies by paying and printing the postage online. Slap the label on a priority mail box and leave it out for the mail carrier. How convenient is that! You can even have your mail carrier deliver more boxes for shipping to your address.
The interior is kept clean and parking usually isn’t a problem. Yes, the USPS closes kinda early, but they’ll keep getting my business because of their proven track record.

US POSTAL SERVICE delivers
So we all know that postal service has been around for years since the «Pony Express». The postal service has been dub «snail mail» because it takes so FRICKIN long for ANYTHING to get from point A to B. It is really annoying and thus I try to NEVER mail anything!
Not only that but every single time I turn around I hear about the prices of stamps changing and going up. I am pretty sure that the pay is NOT on par with the escalating prices if postage these days!
This location is SUPER CONVENIENT and SUPER close to me but is NOT my designated postal office! Mine is MUCH FARTHER and parking is a FRICKIN NIGHTMARE! This place has ample parking and I have NEVER seen it full not even around Christmas time!
They have PO Boxes you can rent and you can actually mail packages from this location as well. I’ve probably only mailed a few items in the many, many, many years I’ve lived over here. The service is ALWAYS GREAT and pretty fast as well! It makes for a delightful experience since its probably the LAST thing I REALLY want to do! If anyone knows me they know I don’t do mailing packages well. If it is NOT something that can go into my «MAIL BOX» outside my house then it probably will take the second coming of Jesus for you to see that package from me! I don’t know why it is so difficult for me to mail things but it is so deal with it! With all the technology you’d think there would be a way to send it through wifi or the Internet but NOT!
This location is NOT OPEN on SATURDAYS anymore! I thought they were at one point but like I said the last time I mailed something Eisenhower was still in office! So when I was trying to be a good little girl and mail off some books for a friend on a Saturday I found they were locked up tight as a drum, with a sorry sucker come back when we are open sign on the door! I swear I heard someone laughing at me! So needless to say that was toward to end of summer and I still have the books at home! I probably could have walked to her house and delivered them and walked back by now! Oh well que sera, sera!
If you need to mail something this is a good location with ample parking and they have a real drive-​thru for you to drop your mail into so no need to even get out the car! That is pretty convenient!

So sad they were closed on a Saturday before Christmas Day! I had to mail out a package for Christmas Eve (Tuesday this year) Arrival and had to go to the post office in Artesia to do so.
Nonetheless, when they are open, it’s full service. I guess they’ve done away with vending machines for stamps?

This post office is kept rather clean and is organized at most times of the year, minus the holiday season. While there can be long lines here on weekends and near closing, I have found that this is the post office to visit when sending out packages. Compared to the Artesia location it is much newer and bigger, but still operates on a small staff. There’s also a guy here who seriously has a long beard, and I’ve been seeing him there since I was a kid. The beard just grows longer. I’d say to come here if you’re nearby, have some time during your lunch break or otherwise, or are a local. They surely beat other postal service prices.

I love how it is easy to park here and the wait doesn’t seem to be too long. Even though going to the post office can suck sometimes, at least the staff that works at this location are very nice, friendly and gives you great customer service.
Not all post offices are created equal so this location is more like the cream of the crop.

Starting August 2013, the United States Postal Service will cease to deliver mail on Saturdays. Mail delivery will occur Monday thru Friday, while packages will continue to be delivered 6 days a week. PO Boxes will continue to receive mail on Saturdays and Post Office locations currently open on Saturdays will remain open. This move will help save $ 2 billion dollars annually (with a current deficit of $ 16 billion dollars) as they continue to seek the help of Congress to stabilize the agency.
When I first came to the US, the postage rate was 20 cents. Fast forward to present day and it’s now 46 cents. YIKES! Who the hell is running this business? With more people switching to alternative methods such as FedEx, UPS, and electronic mail, it’s safe to assume that the USPS is doomed.
I visit this location in Cerritos frequently because I’ve had a PO Box here for years. I blame all the moving around I used to do in college and you know the difficulty sometimes of centralizing mail. I swear that I have yet to see a better Post Office location than this one. It’s one of a few of locations in CA where I have access to my box, 24 hours a day. Parking is awesome, the venue is tidy, and the staff here is super friendly and helpful. I’ve never had any issues other than the occasional misdelivered mail and rising maintenance costs. Still, I know it’s because the USPS is struggling financially.

Anyways, this location is open Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM, closed on the weekends. If you need that extra squeeze, then the nearest post office is located in Artesia, on Pioneer & 183^rd. It’s open from 8:30AM to 5:30PM during the weekdays and from 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays.
It’s going to get weird if we don’t have the United States Postal Service, since they’ve been delivering mail for more than 235 years. They say that all good things must come to an end, but this is one of those things where I truly wish it wouldn’t, because people might really start to get, you know… POSTAL.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. When I moved back to Cerritos, I come in 5 times a week. During busy season, sometimes twice a day!
Now I live closer to the other post office in Artesia, I still prefer to come here. I love all the people who work here. They are the kindest and the most helpful people I’ve ever encounter. They treat me like family, I guess I see them almost everyday!
The only down side is, right before closing, which is 4:30pm, it always gets packed! For some reason, everyone arrives right when they are about to close. That sucks for the workers because they can’t go home!
Other than that, it’s a really warm post office to go to :)

Ok, so I’ve only been here a couple of times. The only reason I would even step foot inside a post office is to mail something overseas or if I know the letter will cost more than 44 cents. I seldom need stamps since I take care of my payments online, save for the very rare occasions when I actually mail a Birthday, Congrats, or Thank you card.
On this particular occasion I had to mail a box to Hawaii, an oversized envelope that definitely costs more than 44 cents, and a sheet of stamps. I rate this place on the human interaction portion of the experience. The person behind the counter (the guy with the very long beard) was as sweet as can be. I even asked if I could just purchase half a sheet of stamps and that was not a problem. My interaction with him was great from start to finish. I have absolutely no complaints.

Remember the good ‘ol days? When you have to lick the back to adhere the seal as well as the stamps for each of your letters? Don’t you just love the taste of envelopes and stamps? I always wonder why they didn’t make a flavored stamp or envelope? Oh well, thank goodness they came up with a sticker type stamp or would probably have a papercut by now.
I love this location and the people here. Manny, Del, Connie and the rest of the crew. I’ve been a customer here for probably over 8 years now. I’ve had the PO boxes, done the expedited international and domestic shipping, done COD, change of address, certificate of mailing, certified mail. Pretty much every single type of mail, I’ve probably done it here. If you don’t know how to submitted corrected, the friendly staff here will help you, but just don’t come like the week before taxes are due in April nor the week before Christmas.
If you didn’t quite make it here at 4:30pm, you still can make it to the one in Cypress on Lincoln and Valley View or the one on Norwalk and Crescent that closes at 5pm. And of course, ask them for a mover’s pak for your 10% off Lowes coupon.

This post office isn’t really that bad. In fact, I think it has a nice façade, in a California Mission sort of way. Although the one thing I don’t like is the early closing time of 4:30pm. Usually I don’t realize I have something to mail out until about that time, so I have get onto 183^rd Street and hightail it over to Artesia to make it on time for the 5:00pm close time there most times.
But during those times where I have to go inside and make sure a letter or package is certified or weighed properly, the movement of the line is like any other bureaucracy or bank. No likes to do it, but hey, you have to… so suck it up and listen to your iPod quietly.
