Sleep Number

It’s funny, some retailers, heck businesses in general thank you for being a customer for a long time.
My wife and I have owned a sleep number bed since ²⁰⁰¹⁄₂₀₀₂ or somewhere close to that. I walked into the Cerritos store and after a while was greeted by a lady asking what I needed help with. A bed cover is what I indicated. I couldn’t think of the word bed sheet. After going through all the possible items sleepnumber nowadays provides to put on top of their mattresses, from padding to air-​cooled-​layers, we found out that I just needed new bedsheets. I brought an old packaging label to make sure I would walk out with the right size. «Wow that’s old» was the first reply, «let me check you in our system…» Jokingly I said, I think we had our bed from before computers, which prompted her not to even look me up in the system. My inability to explain fully what I needed made her laugh a few times and even the chap helping other customers behind the register overheard and had a ‘laughing’ expression as he looked at me. I’m just thinking all this time, hey I’m the customer, and have been for over a decade. But that aside, my wife and I are thinking about getting another bed from sleep number, however I felt uneasy in this store, and I came in for a little thing. How will you treat me when I purchase a big thing? Would you take the time to pretend it is okay for a customer not to know the exact word for a bed sheet or will you be as none-​caring as today. When I walked out I knew that the chap behind the register would turn and watch us leave. So I open the door and turn around. Yup laughing with his customers and looking right in my face. I’m paranoid, I know, I’ve also been in retail management before…

They are very good selling you a $ 10’000+ Bed, but if you need them, forget it. I like the bed, bud I have being sleeping on a deflated Mattress for over a week and can’t get anybody to come out. Can’t even talk to anybody on the Phone. I have being calling for 3 Days, Day and night, nothing.
What good is the so called best bed, if you can’t use it? The 1−800−472−7185 service number is useless!!! You can’t even leave a message.

Dyantha is the best. Knows everything there is about all there products. we have a Call king and its great, best nights sleep.

My boyfriend and I just got off work so yeah we look kinda beat up because we work in customer service lol but damn is it so hard to get service here? I know we look don’t look «presentable» but we’re still customers. We been here for approximately around 30 minutes and only been approached a few times. Was asked how we were doing but that’s all. No questions about what we’re looking for, the price range we’re aiming for and such? My view in customer service, the way I use it, I usually ask customers how they’re doing, is theres anything I can help them with and such. It’s saddens me that another customer had to help us on how to adjust the sleep number for the beds. Customers whocame after us even received service. Anyways, we decided on the cSE. My boyfriend wanted to puchase the bed today but I told him to come back some other time when I’m not feeling this disappointed on the service we just received. Hopefully, it’ll be better on our next visit.
UPDATE: The post above was months ago ^ I forgot to press the «post» button but anyways. We never came back. I told my bf that if a business «shows» that they don’t want our money, why spend? Again, we know service. Here’s one advice for the service I received on my first and will be last visit there; Never ever neglect customers. It doesn’t matter how they look or whatevers. Looks can be deceiving. They’re there for a reason. To spend money which can benefit both side of the parties. Awesome beds. Crappy service. I’m not saying all the reps are crappy. Just the ones that were working that day. Wish we received water too like the other customers but I guess my bf and I «weren’t» good enough. Anyways, we ended getting a bed at Sears. Really comfortable and similar to the sleep number. All in all, their beds are great and I’m pretty sure they’re worth the money.

Jeremy is the man to deal with here! I’ve never actually really dealt with anybody else there but I bought my mattress from him a couple of years ago and a year later decided to buy the platform with the bed adjustments for legs and head and everything was always smooth. Jeremy took his time to explain every single detail to me I needed to know.
I called him today cuz I noticed some tears in my air chamber covers and HE REMEBERED ME JUST BY MY 1ST NAME AND THE SOUND OF MY VOICE! EVEN REMEBERED MY CAR! Either creepy due to not speaking to him or even coming to the store in well over a year or ABSOLUTELY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! This guy is the greatest and would vouch for him with my life to give great customer service lol
If I could I’d give 10 star!

After reading the good reviews, my husband and I decided to come here to purchase our bed even though it was farther than the Arcadia store. It was the right choice. Laura helped us out and we absolutely love our new bed. Laura was extremely patient and thorough explaining the various types of beds. We are happy with our purchase and will return to buy accessories for our new bed.

My mom bought a sleep number bed and I am «forced» to sleep on it whenever I visit. It is the most uncomfortable bed I have EVER slept on in my life. I suffer from a bad back and usually can barely walk when I leave. I would NEVER recommend a Sleep Number bed.

My day just exploded up in my face! After three months of research, with a second party, and trying to help my wife’s back pain while sleeping at night, we purchased a $ 6,000 fully adjustable bed. We called to find out when the best time was for delivery. We wanted to help out there delivery route schedule time,
so I worked with them and took a Thursday off hoping everything would go smoothly. I tore up our master bedroom and put furniture throughout the house to make installation easy. So, now we are ready. My wife called the day before to make sure we were still on schedule, and all was good.
The morning of our delivery, we received a call saying they were not able to drop off the bed. After all that work what the hell! We got on the phone with corporate and after 4 – 5 hours of speaking with numerous people, l found out that there was no one that had a can do attitude. For this extreme inconvenience, all we got was a, «We’re sorry.» They had no back up plan to accommodate are delivery They didn’t even offer any compensation for our troubles, which I was waiting on to see if they had any integrity —-no help there — , which has me very concerned about warranties down the road. This is my first impression of this company through corporate. Why are we paying 6 times more for a bed if you can’ get the support you need?

Although on the expensive side of things it’s well worth the money. I purchased a California King over 5 years ago and it’s been super awesome comfortable. I’ve only had one issue with one side that leaked out but once I contacted customer service it arrived at my door faster than I expected. I walked into this sleep number store to see if I could purchase parts but alas I could not. All part sales are made through customer service. Even though I did not purchase anything I was greeted quickly and attended to in seconds. Customer service in the store is 6 stars if you ask me and everyone was really helpful with the information I needed (two women at the counter). I may be purchasing another California King for my parents in the near future and when I do I’m coming here !

They claim that they have the most comfortable bed and it will take your back pain away. I strongly disagree! It is the most expensive bed I have ever owned. I owned it less than a year and my apartment was involved in a major fire. I asked if there was anything they could do since I owned it for such a short amount of time. Nope!

Laura is the absolute best! My bf and I were on the fence about getting such an expensive bed but she provided us with the very best service! She wasn’t pushy at all and made us feel very comfortable as if we have known her for years! She tried to get us as many discounts as possible, and was very knowledgeable and provided us with all the info that we needed.
I CANT wait to get my bed!

I had been shopping for a mattress for a while so I went on Unilocal and found this place. I can say that we received awesome help and the people there gave us an opportunity to take our time with our shopping. Once we figured it out what we wanted they gave us quotes and we were given time to decide. Nicole gave us awesome service.

I just recently started using their pillows and the one I bought just wasn’t the right fit… I use a contour one. I went in to the store and the gentleman was extremley helpful in exchanging it for a different size. Their Customer Service, both in the store and on the phone, is the BEST if ever dealt with.

I’m in the market to buy a new bed and heard a lot of positive reviews for the Sleep Number Bed. After spending more than an hour with the salesperson, (don’t remember his name but he was a bald pensioner), I really was not impressed. The air beds are all relatively the same as far as the air mattress part. They just add a thicker layer of foam as the price gets higher. So basically you could buy the cheaper mattress, get your one mattress pad and you would get essentially the same thing much cheaper. Also, they will not negotiate on the prices or extras at all. If you want legs for the bed or a bed frame add $ 160. It takes 2 weeks for them to make a bed once ordered. It will cost you $ 160 to have the bed put together, or $ 80 if you just want it shipped in large boxes and you put it together yourself. I found the bed itself not comfortable. I’m a fat dude at over 250 lbs. and found that at the higher air pressure number the bed is too hard if lying on your back. When I take the pressure down lower and turn to the side, I hit the bottom and it’s too soft. They will show you a live feed of how the bed takes pressure off your back as the pressure is lowered but basically you just sink into the bed and then it’s hard to turn over. I guess for some people this bed will work, but I see it as just a newer version of the waterbed and where has that technology gone? You can spend a week playing with the different settings until you think you got it right, but more likely you will probably just be tired and confused and end up settle on some number. Incidentally, that number thing is a big deal at the store. All the staff are always saying my number is such and such what’s yours? Also I gotta mention that old fart salesperson who «helped me.» He spent more time talking about himself, how many beds he’s sold, and other stuff I was interested in hearing. Wasting my time and not letting me really try out the beds for any long period of time. So I had ended up going back to this store a second time just to feel the beds out, and that’s when I became sure they are not any good, at least in my case.
