Shoreline Roofing

This company did a great job with my roof 5 years ago. I have referred them to about 6 people who were also very happy with their work. Robert was great to work with and his crew was very neat. The roofing job at my house was massive and I was more than satisfied with the cost and final job.

These guys installed my roof 8 years ago, and this year when I noticed a problem on my ceiling I called them back Robert immediately found the problem, was able to explain how it happened (the house painters had offered to replace a cap that had apparently blown off a vent, and apparently not done it right), and fixed it for a very reasonable sum. I was just happy to find a roofer still in business after 8 years! They did a great job both times, and Robert was prompt and responsive.

I must say I was disappointed with Shoreline Roofing. Robert was supposed to show up last Monday, when he didn’t I called and he rescheduled for Tuesday. After we met he said he would get the quote for re-​roofing our home to me that night. On Wed. I texted him and asked if he could send it. By Friday I called since he never texted me back and I still had no quote or references. He said he would get them to me and that he was having computer troubles. He came by that day and handed the contract to me, and I looked it over. He asked if I was going to sign it. I reminded him that I still needed the three references that I request on Tuesday, before I could make a decision. He replied ‘well I thought you were in a hurry to get this job done. I am a busy man, I do not have time to get those to you, I will take back my contract.’ And he plucked it from my hands and walked out of the house. It was rude and unprofessional. I am not telling this to bash him, but I do want people to be careful and make sure that you get references and that they check out. Check all contractor license numbers, bond numbers and worker’s comp information with the contractors state license board. I have run into so many roofers who are not licensed, or who are licensed but are sub-​contracting to unlicensed contractors that they are far outweighing the legit people. Robert is licensed, bonded and has worker’s comp by-​the-​way. He just refused to give me references, which raises a big red flag. He also quoted me $ 4000 more than my first contractor I checked out and $ 3000 more than the second one. Considering it is about $ 11,000 for the job means he is charging about 25% — 30% more. Which is a bit high considering he was going to do the same job with the same materials.

If I could give a zero star I would. Eric Kim seemed nice enough. He was recommended to me by A-​1 termite to paint our house after they did the wood replacement. First I thought it was weird when he gave me his card and it read
. First red flag… he was suppose to be a painter? After Looking around, he said he would email me the quote. Well 4 days later still nothing, 2^nd red flag. Finally got the quote. I called him to go over the quote and I wanted to see if he can add a few things ie: doors and fence and of course it was gonna be more. In the meantime I had told him that the other quote we got from another contractor was $ 250 less than his and everything was included. I wanted to give Robert the job because he was nice when I met him and seemed professional. But our last conversation he told me to go with the other guy because he didn’t want to paint my house. I hung up in such shock that he could be so rude. I guess he didn’t want my money. Lesson learned, don’t waste your time when a contractor hands you a business card with the trade NOT specific to your needs.

Robert from Shoreline Roof is the BEST when it comes to ANY services for your home! If your house is looking shambled and want a makeover, definitely call Robert and this guy will HOOK YOU UP!!!
I lived with my parents in Fullerton for over 15 years and I have to say, over the years, our house was looking older and older as the years went by. My mom definitely noticed that there was some major work needed to be done. The house itself is a great home with an awesome layout but the brown wooden roofs and brown paint was just such an EYE SORE! (sooo gross!)
Anyways, we decided to one year do MAJOR renovations on the house so it can be as pretty as it can be. We called Rob and he quickly came over for a consultation and to inspect our house. Let me tell you, this guy knows his stuff! My mom (obviously) doesn’t know anything about remodeling and all she cares is good quality stuff for good prices! And Rob definitely delivered on both. While he was inspecting our house, he had a lot of good suggestions for our house and what kinds of roofing materials to use and which kinds had longer life expectancy. Even though my mom had NO idea what he was talking about, when he said the words, «dont worry, I’ll take care of everything» she instantly knew he was someone to trust.
Rob wasn’t those kind of contractors who would try to sell you on unnecessary renovations to make a quick buck off of you. He genuinely listens to what you want and gives honest opinions. We hired other contractors for second opinions and definitely Rob had the best prices compared to others.
So after a LOT of research, we hired shoreline to not only re-​roof our house, but we wanted to re-​paint the exterior, re-​tile our downstairs floor, and re-​model the bathrooms. Not only did shoreline roofing did it quick, but all the workers were very clean and respectable (which I liked very much!). It was a crazy couple of weeks with all the re-​modeling but the whole process wasn’t as bad as I assumed. Within a couple of weeks everything was finished and looking newer than ever! It was like the house was a completely new house!
As of now, the house is still looking good and if there are other things my crazy mom wants to do, Rob is definitely the guy that we will call!
