I purchased a Groupon for $ 20 to try this place. I came on a Thursday night and ordered take out. I ordered two bowls of phở with rare beef, one chicken banh mi and one pork banh mi. Before Groupon, the total was $ 26 with tax. Customer service is very friendly, the counter is very clean and I was really excited to try it. For take out, they put the noodles, broth and meat in one bowl. This worried me as I had a 30 minute drive home. When I got home, I microwaved the bowl(I like my phở piping hot). The broth was good, plenty of meat, however, the noodles were all broken. Small, broken, overcooked noodles. It was very disappointing. The phở could be better if the noodles aren’t broken and separated from the broth(FORTAKEOUTORDERS)! The sandwiches were okay, too. The pork meat was very fatty. I didn’t taste all the fresh and pickled ingredients that a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich is suppose to have. I threw out the second bowl of phở and chicken sandwich. It was a huge disappointment and I think the restaurant could be better if they made a few adjustments.

For Mall Phở this is really, really good and really fast. Only took 4 minutes to put it all together. Lots of food and very hot. Not spicy, just hot. Very healthy as well. Highly recommended. Very clean and the staff was kind of friendly. If you’re going to have a millennial at the counter make sure she has a sense of humor.

This guy watched my sister and my dad look at the menu, trying to figure out what to order – only to tell them that he was closed once they were ready to order. If your lights are on, and the food is out, and you look like you’re about to assist a customer… Don’t wait until a customer has figured out what to order, to tell them that you’re closed. And then don’t stare at them as they walk away because they’re bad mouthing you and your customer service.

GROSS. My boyfriend and I got a Thai tea it taste like pure syrup. Then we took it back and got taro smoothies and they were gross. Watery and pure syrup. We ended up throwing them away. Waste of money. I wish I can give them 0 stars.

Not vicious, or malicious. Just phở-lovely, & Pholicious. I am a phở slut. Have been for years. However, my lust for phở has waned, with ramen & hot pot being the hot 20-something year old naïve college girls to phở’s 40-something year old soccer mom. But, sometimes a piping hot bowl of phở will do when nothing else will. Pholicious is the newest tenant of the Los Cerritos Center food court, taking the spot McDonald’s previously occupied. On a cold, windy November evening, I wanted to check out Pholicious for myself. 15% off Grand Opening special. No salt or MSG. Kinda weird, because what’s phở w/o the saltiness? Browsing the various phở options, I noticed the only options with 2+ protein sources were– phở seafood, phở beef & meat ball & phở special mix. I’m used to having phở combo bowls, with rare beef, tendon, tripe & meatballs. Not having that option at Pholicious was a little bit of a downer. Phở special mix(large) — Eye round beef, meat ball, fish ball, shrimp, rice noodles & beef broth. Bonus chicken! Yes! The broth was lighter & not as flavorful as I’m accustomed to. But, the various pieces of meat were good, especially the chicken. I always add hoisin sauce & sriracha, so I can’t say how the broth tasted w/o salt. The phở special mix was an average bowl of phở. Not exemplary, but not bad. Besides phở, customers can choose egg rolls, spring rolls, grilled chicken rice dish & a grilled pork rice dish. 3 types of banh mi are sold for $ 4.99/each. Smoothies come in 18 variations to choose from, represented by the standard Thai tea & Vietnamese coffee to unique favors like red velvet & honeydew. Service was good. The counter has a bright, pleasing green & white color scheme. Ordering was quick & I waited only a couple minutes for my to-go phở. Convenience, my dear Watson. It’s all about the convenience. That’s what Pholicious has going for it. The brick & mortar Phở spots offer more with their combo phở, but it’s hard to pass up soup when I’m shopping at the mall. The quantity was decent & I appreciated the 15% off. I’ll have to give their rice dishes & smoothies a try, which may or may not bump up a star. When I’m hankering for some phở & don’t want to drive a bit, I believe Pholicious will do the trick the next time I’m at the mall.

Ordered a small phở beef, boy oh boy … it’s bad… don’t know how to describe how bad it is. Left the phở bowl after eating about 1⁄3. Got an extra bowl to share with my friend, she stop eating after sipping the broth and ate the meat. She doesn’t like it one bit. I’ll go home and open a bag of instant phở noodle or instant ramen, It’ll taste better. Service is quick, staff is nice = 3 stars. So it deserve a one star overall instead of zero, the phở rating = 0 star Other than that it’s a nicely decorated phở shop inside a popular mall, wishes that they can some how improve on their phở.

Just had the grilled pork banh mi and lychee boba. The sandwich was good, meat was tasty and plentiful. Lychee slush well made, however Boba was a bit hard. Paid just under $ 10. ‘Twas an enjoyable meal overall.

Food is not up to par with stylized look and name. A huge disappointment. Ordered the Special sandwich and just watching the girl prepare it, pretty obvious untrained. I’ve had plenty of Vietnamese sandwiches and this was by far the worst. The spread they used was mayonnaise like. Besides that, it was way too caked on and that’s all I could taste with every bite. I wanted to try the Phở but glad I didn’t and settled for a cheaper menu item to try out the place. Portion size to price ratio is what might expect from a mall food court but for phở, rice noodle, portion size I saw is a but ridiculous. At other establishments, price would be for a large but instead you get a small here with very little basil in the bag that I saw. Also to note, think it was the owner lady, but pretty funy working with her blinged out hat with the word SEXY across it. Unfortunately the food is not even close to being sexy or delicious not to mention the B health grade. Verdict, wont be back and not worth a try. Plenty of options in food court.

Don’t come here! I love phở and boba so I was crazy excited to try this place! The first time I came here I bought spring rolls and Thai with boba. The spring rolls were decent but the Thai tea was so sweet I was cringing, it tasted like powered sugar overload. I wanted to give them a second chance so I came back for beef phở and lychee with boba. I didn’t get any bean sprouts and it was flavorless. Basically hot noodles with beef and lots of pepper? And my lychee drink tasted bland and warm? Honestly I’m very confused why my drink was warm when there’s ice and hard boba in it. I’d understand if the boba was hot and fresh, but it wasn’t. This place is overpriced for something that doesn’t even taste average. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Oh this is a place to write home about, alright. I understand that you can’t expect much from mall food court food, but this place is way overpriced for what you get. I agree with other reviewers who found it similar to instant noodles and broth. I tried the beef phở and the beef was no joke… it was so thick and tough! I tried everything… first, tried to take a bite of it off of the chopsticks. The meat was too tough for that, so I tried stabbing it with a fork. The meat literally bent the plastic fork they gave me! The knife was a joke, too, so I had to rip it into smaller pieces with my hands. Not the end of the world, but this place is priced like a regular sit down restaurant and so not worth it. I also ordered a coconut smoothie with boba. The smoothie itself was flavorless and some of the boba had a weird grainy texture. On top of it, they wanted a tip! Are you kidding me? No. Overall, it was an experiment in mall phở that I will not be repeating.

Fast and courteous service. Hot and delicious Phở. Strawberry drinks are great with jelly. Rice and chicken bowl was delicious. Will eat here again and bring my friends.

I feel cheated. Since opening, I’ve been wanting to try Pholicious, since I work at the plaza across the street. I got a coupon for 15% off and wanted to try a few things off the menu. I actually went out of my way to drive to the mall on Black Friday weekend specifically to try this place. I ordered the phở, egg rolls, and bahn mi. When checking out, I presented said coupon and expected the facility to uphold the 15% discount. Not only did the cashier not inform me that the coupon was no longer valid(which overall is ridiculous since it says valid until November 30th), when I asked her, she sort of brushed it off saying they are not upholding it anymore. In my eyes, any business that doesn’t uphold their deals doesn’t respect their customer. As far as the food goes, the phở was just okay. Not the best or the worst, but I feel like it doesn’t have that special comfort feeling that I usually get when eating phở(yes, I am aware that it’s lacking msg, but the experience was still underwhelming). The egg rolls were disappointing, they’re small and the batch that I got was a mix between a very luke warm batch and a batch that they freshly made. Overall, the experience was very off putting and I regret not going to Great Khan right next door, where at least I know the food will be warm. There are plenty of great phở places in Cerritos and you probably shouldn’t give this one a chance unless you’re really desperate. Not to mention it’s a little pricey. I probably will never return. I hope management is happy with gaining a few extra bucks from me rather than having a potential loyal customer.

I was so excited for Pholicious to open! Being a mall employee who loves Phở and gets tired of the occasional spam masubi or subway turkey sandwich I was looking forward to their opening. The first time I ate there it was during their first week of opening, the phở beef broth legitimately tasted like hot water with noodles. I told them about the flavorless soup and they refunded me. I was reluctant to go back a second time but they assured me it was a mistake, since I’ve been back the phở is okay. Nothing to write home about but it is OKAY. It’s a little pricey for what you get, and the staff a little unorganized, but I’m hoping they straighten things out as time progresses.

I get it. Mall rent is not cheap but the place is way overpriced for what they give you. I understand you can’t go full authentic at a mall food court but they can at least try a bit harder. Not sure if they sell instant phở at the ranch 99, but if they did, it would be exactly like what they serve at this place. Being a huge instant noodle fan, I can accept the way it tastes here but not for the premium they charge. Wow

Simply put, this place is disgusting. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the menu! I ordered the chicken bahn mi sandwich. I swear to you I did not know from animal the meat inside was from. It looked nothing like chicken, was super rubbery and chewy, and tasted more like beef jerky! The picture on their menu is obviously grilled chicken breast. False advertisement! This food court has enough Asian food. Literally 7 of the 11 places to eat in the food court is Asian food. Why the hell would you open one of these? Bring us chipotle or something quality! Not some small business that is trying to save money by serving us rat as chicken.
