Business Owner

Julie J. Villalobos, has helped hundreds of clients with foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy debt relief, and asset protection, throughout Southern California. Ms. Villalobos specializes in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases, as well as home loan modifications, and estate planning.

Ms. Villalobos received her Juris Doctor Degree, from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, on a full academic scholarship, and is a member of the California Bar Association. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Whittier College, was named the Business Administration graduate of the year, and was awarded the highest honors in her major. Ms. Villalobos is very involved in her church and community, and spends her free time with her husband and children.

Ms. Villalobos has brought her knowledge, expertise and passion for helping others to the foundation of Oaktree Law.

To this day, I still blame myself for retaining Oak Tree Law almost eight months ago. Mr. Mark Hoffman was who I met with in March, 2015. I left our initial appointment with a signed agreement with his office. Again, I blame myself; March, April and May went by: nothing. No movement from Oak Tree Law. Same with June. I believe I did an outstanding job mailing foreclosure notices and other pertinent information to Mr. Hoffman. It wasn’t until July that I receive an email listing questions that needed to be answered. My response was swift and I have the emails to prove it. We lost our home of 20 years. I don’t blame Mr. Hoffman at Oak Tree Law, I blame myself. Should you retain Oak Tree Law and weeks or months pass without any contact, pick up the phone and keep things moving. I intend to file a formal complaint with the American Bar Association.

I spoke to Marissa and was impressed by her, she is someone I would want standing between me and an adversary! She gave me enough insight so that I can try and resolve the situation myself but if it becomes bigger than I can handle, I’m coming back to her. I think this approach shows confidence, I was armed with information but if I need to call in the big guns, they are there for me. Oak Tree was definitely worth the call.

O.M.Goodness Call them… it is very rare I will give any company or establishment a 5 Star rating… but with Oak Tree Law I must. ! It was my pleasure to work with Marissa, Jennifer and the entire team on an issue i had. Let me summarize what happened 2 ¾ years working with my bank on a modifiication to my home mortgage just to have them come back and say no. Went as a last resort to Oak Tree and in 3+ months they were able to negotiate with my lender and get not only the modification, but the lender excused all fees, penalties (a $ 8k savings) and also gave me the modification. Bottom line saved $ 8k up front and saved $ 1k a month on my mortgage payments. Oak Tree is the best. Kept in touch weekly via email on what was going on and what my bank had needed and said. I would suggest you give them a try. These are not the fly by night attorneys you have heard horror stories about, they are real people who care. DO IT and SAVE YOUR HOME AND SANITY.

WOW… all I can say is WOW~! What a fantastic experience. Marissa, Jennifer and the entire team at Oaktree Law is straight forward and VERY knowledgeable on loan mods for sure. After trying to deal with my bank (B of A) directly on requesting a modification and wasting about 8 weeks of time only to be denied, I went to Oaktree after hearing their commercials on the radio. I was contacted by Marissa immediately who explained everything over the phone even before I made the decision to work with them. She knows all the «ins & outs» of modifications as well as the lenders. She told me exactly what the process was and what she expected the outcome to be. Needless to say after less than 8 weeks B of A gave me my modification and I could not be happier. If you listen closely to their commercials on the radio they are spot on based on my experience. Only wish other things in life were as efficient and pleasant as my experience with the folks at Oaktree Law~!

This review is long over due but I have to let everyone know my experience at Oak tree law. We went to oak tree law after hearing them advertise on 99.5 had a consultation with Marissa. Oaktree told us to be proactive and keep in contact with our bank so we did. Oaktree law tells us we need to bk to keep our house so we did. Oaktree law did not finish paper work for bk because they forgot to file something. Found this out January 2014. We filed bk in August of 2013. Oaktree law wasn’t as proactive with us like they have been with all these other reviews. Marissa started off nice but at the end of it all didn’t care about us at all. We lost our home but because we found a new attorney we were able to get it back. I think everyone who they helped this year had it easy since the laws had change.
I wouldn’t recommend Oaktree law.

I was extremely hesitant to go through with a modification or even attempt the process. I was leary of the process and unsure from all the horror stories I’ve heard. Marissa from Oak Tree Law was a blessing. She walked me through the whole process. Everything she told me to do, I did. Everything she said she would handle, was handled. I had questions for their attorney… she was available anytime I needed to talk to her. Ed was also available whenever I had questions in the final stages with the modification offers from the lenders. These guys go above and beyond. They work hard for you. I know I did not only one mod but two. I was able to modify a jumbo loan on my primary residence and also on an income property I own. These people really stuck to their word. I cannot recommend them enough. I was in good hands. Thanks Oaktree Law!!! Your help Is truly appreciated.

I was familiar with Oaktree Law, as I had heard of them advertised on KFI AM 640 before, my favorite talk radio station. So when I was in need of an Attorney to witness me signing my closing documents for an out-​of-​state real estate transaction (a requirement by the out of state Attorneys), and saw their firm in my internet search, I called them up ASAP! Attorney Reza was extremely courteous, professional, and helped me out tremendously by allowing me to retain their services to witness me signing my real estate document! Didn’t have the most helpful response when I first called, however was still upset about finding out that our house purchase might be falling through.
After speaking with the main attorney Rex, felt much better informed about our situation and the options. Rex is highly knowledgeable in real estate law and can explain «how it really is» as opposed to confusing you with lots of legal jargon.

Please do yourself a HUGE favor! Talk with these fantastic people before you allow foreclosure or any other action to your home. Even if you are currently working with another third party, please consult Daniel Cornelius or Marissa Pitts. This may just change your life in a very positive way. Daniel has a very personable manor that is very calming as you share your story. Marissa is the tiger in your tank. I have never witnessed anyone protect me or my rights so specifically or emphatically in my life.

I heard their ad on the radio and decided to call. I was fully expecting a high pressure sales person on the other end. There wasn’t; just a very friendly and helpful voice.
I have a unique situation and had a lot of questions. I was convinced I would have to provide a lot of information and\or pay for their service before they would even answer one question. That was not the case at all.
I spoke with Rex, he allowed me to ask all the questions I wanted. He even provided me with some alternative solutions that I hadn’t thought of before. I’m not ready to pull the trigger yet, but Rex didn’t go for the hard close. He just gave me his direct number and told me to call him when I was ready.
Unbelievable in this day and age to have someone HELP you and not ask for anything in return. I strongly recommend Oaktree Law and I will definitely be calling back when I’m ready to proceed. Thanks, Rex!!!
