JSE is a music school for all ages and all levels of ability. We specialize in Voice Training, Recording, Songwriting, and Performance. If you love music, need music, and/​or are curious about a career in music, this is the place for you! Whether you are young or young at heart, our mission is to just «inspire and empower you through music». At the highest level in the curriculum, JSE is an artist development school that strives to assist its aspiring artists to compete professionally while learning the skills to do so in a real world, professional setting, and many of our students are on their way!

History

Established in 2003.

JEMA Star Entertainment, LLC, originally JEMA Entertainment, was created back in 2003 by J’Chelle Healy who serves as the Music Director of the school today. Her earliest days of teaching started all the way back in 1996, but over the years, her extensive background in classical training plus the years of professional experience in the entertainment industry enriched her curriculum, growing into an industry paced and engaging program only offered at JEMA Star Entertainment, LLC.

Meet the Business Owner

J’Chelle H.

Business Owner

From Long Beach, CA, J’Chelle has been passionate about the arts since age three. With her early training in classical piano, voice, and performance, it wouldn’t be long before she answered her calling to hit it big time. In 2006, J’Chelle’s professional career began to take off, as she was featured on TV Shows including: «America’s Got Talent» (NBC), «My Own» (MTV), and «Nip Tuck» (FOX/​FX). She also served as a keyboardist and vocalist during American Idol’s Mario Vasquez’s Fall 2006 television appearances promoting his self-​titled debut album, including: CBS’s «The Late Show with Craig Fergusson» and AOL Sessions. In Spring of 2007, J’Chelle was chosen to be a featured vocalist on «The Singing Bee» (NBC), under the music direction of Ray Chew, whom she would again work with on American Idol (FOX), Season 11 and 12. As one of the three background vocalists on American Idol, J’chelle has supported the likes of: Mary J. Blige, Chaka Kahn, Queen, & Mariah Carey to name a few.
