History

Established in 1976.

Fagan & Fagan, LLP is a family owned firm that has served the needs of the greater Long Beach and Los Angeles area for more than 30 years. Richard Fagan has been a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California since 1976. Graduating from Illinois College with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics in 1969, he moved to the west coast where he received his Masters in Business Administration at the California State University, Long Beach in 1973.

The firm maintains active memberships in a number of civic, business and professional organizations in the Long Beach area, including Professional Business Associates of Long Beach, the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, SBN Long Beach and Food Finders, of which Richard Fagan serves on the board of directors.

Approximately 65% of practice activities are in the field of traditional accounting and income tax related services. The remaining 35% is filled with business consultation services.

Business Owner

Richard E. Fagan, CPA has practiced as a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of California since 1976. Graduating from Illinois College with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics in 1969, he moved to the West Coast where he served in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, Ed received a Masters degree in Business Administration from the California State University Long Beach in 1973. He then went on to teach Accounting at California State University Long Beach for nine years. Richard E. Fagan, CPA opened his practice to the public in 1976.

Fagan & Fagan, LLP specializes in providing expert tax and planning services to both individuals and businesses. Over the course of his career he has developed an excellent reputation for his expertise in various issues of tax compliance, real estate and estates and trusts.
