I have been very pleased with the treatment i’ve been getting from Dr. Kam and his staff. The thing i like the most is that Dr. Kam takes the time to explain to you the mechanics behind the treatment and the exercises he tells you to do. So you really get to know what your problem is, what is causing it, and what you need to do it to fix it. I think thats really an important thing as you take the knowledge with you and can apply it to different things you encounter that can create back pain in the future.
I’ve never experienced the sales push some other reviewers mentioned. Dr. Kam and Ranee are both extremely nice and caring people. I feel like they do their best to help me and I feel everyday when i leave there that progress has been made in relieving my pain and correcting my posture.

I always recommend Dr. Kam to my family and friends! He has helped me with my lower back issues ever since I was pregnant! He genuinely cares about his patients! He worked with me and gave me a great affordable plan. I can honestly say that my lower back is doing much better and that my posture is getting better as well. I continue to go once a month for an alignment and follow the exercises he gives me to help with my overall improvement.
Dr kam’s assistant Ranee, is also very nice and friendly!!! She is amazing at massages! :) I love going there! Thanks guys for helping me feel better!!!

It was a very bad horrible experience, I will never go back there again. First of all, the office smell like stale. Second, I was there becuase I have a back problem, instead of helping me, he refers to buy a new mattress to fix the problem. Its a waste of time.

I have been going to Dr. Kam’s for over ten years now. I started after a major accident and realized that chiropractic helped me in more ways than I ever could have imagined. I am a worry wart, which leaves me always tense in my upper back and neck. Visiting Dr. Kam I enter stressed, stiff, and leave relaxed, and feeling great. There is an immediate difference in how I feel and sometimes even sound after being treated. Dr. Kam and Renee are both compassionate people who truly care about your complete wellness. I highly recommend them!

First of all, I was never a fan of chiropractors to begin with because I always seen them as slot machines in the past…$$$. A friend of mine, whose also a physician, urged me to give it a try due to my recent injury and back problems.
Seriously, Dr. Kam and his staff have been nothing but outstanding… There has never been a sales push to buy anything or continue. I can honestly say that I feel better, my posture has greatly improved and I’m aware of it. A body is like a structure… and one has to take care of it. There’s no wonder pill that makes all ailments go away over night. Yes, I’ve been coming here for a couple of months now and I keep coming back.
I see some ridiculous old comments below about sales push and $$$…hmmm.I wonder, this has never happened to me and if you complain about your co-​payment maybe you should take it up with your insurance first. ;)
He’s very knowledgeable, I never feel rushed, he listens and I can see and feel the results.

Dr Kam has a very good command at what he does. He spends time not just treating but also gives a good understanding of what he is doing or how it will affect your living.
I had a bad back pain from a sports injury that i had not been able to get over. About 5 – 6 sessions with Dr. Kam helped my sleep and move normally. I had taken 8 physical therapy session before this that were trash… because my problem was not muscle related it was alignment.
I would definitely recommend him at anyone that has hurting body parts.

the dr is nice and everything but i got a half hour interview and half hour lecture on the spine and its inner workings. that’s all great and informative but i’ve already heard it from past chiropractors and i just wanted an effing adjustment. The receptionist is friendly also, but failed to mention that they only take cash or check. So since I was already there when i found out, i used the Bank of America atm which charged me for withdrawing with a wellsfargo account and wellsfargo turns around and charges me for using a b of a atm. After sitting through all this, it sounded like he was going to let me go… so i asked about the adjustment and he said that he’d give it to me this time. uh wtf? i dont pay people 60 some odd bucks to lecture me and not adjust my spine, I got the adjustment which sort of hurt… and days later i didnt feel any better. I know it’s not a one-​time fix deal but i should have felt some kind of relief. Nope.

When I first waddled into Dr. Kam’s office (on a blind search for Kaiser-​affiliate chiropractors), I was about 8 months pregnant and in a nauseating amount of pain. I didn’t hold out much hope that anyone could fix me, but hey, when you’re desperate, you’re desperate.
Best… desperation… move… ever.
Dr. Kam has consistently been a good doctor for a little over two years now. He and Renee, his front office manager, have been cheerleading me through my health issues for quite a while. They are always understanding when I show up late for an appointment (wrangling toddlers will do that to you, sadly). They’re always willing to get me in for an emergency appointment. Dr. Kam even came to the emergency room for me once to tell me that my daughter was OK and at home when I had what turned out to be a nasty attack of vertigo at his office. He and his staff have also been very accomodating in dealing with my children when I have to take them to one of my appointments. Heck, my baby boy has literally been growing up in that office!
For comparison’s sake, I have been to another chiropractor for pregnancy issues, because the other doctor specialized in a special technique to turn a breech baby. The prices Dr. Kam charges are actually comparable or less per session than my other doctor. The level of competency and caring is the same. I like Dr. Kam so much that I’ve had both my husband and my six year old get a checkup.
Dr. Kam is very, very dedicated to health as a long-​term lifestyle and firmly believes in the value of chiropractic work and general health maintenance. Sometimes that might come across as a bit pushy. However, in 2 years I have NEVER experienced from this office what another reviewer complained about. Yes, Renee is very thorough about calling if you miss an appointment. I have never, ever, gotten daily calls from this office. I have also never gotten a pushy salesman attempt at an insanely-​priced package. In fact, whenever I have to start thinking about a new package, Dr. Kam seems very uncomfortable about talking about money. He’s always been very consistent in telling me what I need, and giving me multiple payment options. I’ve always appreciated his willingness to work with my insurance and his understanding that I don’t have multiple thousands of dollars to throw at my care. His packages are priced so that if you pay a lump sum, you actually save a good percentage of money. He will also take monthly payments.
The one thing I’ve never liked about this office is the fact that they don’t take credit cards. But if you know about it in advance, you can work around that issue.
There has to be a level of trust when someone has your head in his hands and there’s abrupt movement going on. Dr. Kam is knowledgeable and very, very dedicated to getting someone well. I’ll keep going back to him for as long as I need to.

I’ve been going to Dr. Kam for YEARS, but never thought to Unilocal him until recently!
He totally deserves the 5 stars for great treatment and attention to education. I appreciate that he is not just interested in adjusting me, but consistently suggests exercises to strengthen areas on my body that are weak. I’ve had several chiropractors in the past and Dr. Kam has consistently been a great practitioner and health advocate for me.
I’d go refer any of my friends to him!

Wow! I didn’t ever think Dr. Kam would get such low ratings! I had been referred to him by my manager at work when she heard about my horror story about the chiropractor from HELL. (Read my review for Bryan Aun) I was scarred emotionally by my previous «Doctor’s» unethical practices that all I wanted was someone who really cared about taking care of his patients and offering a solution. Especially bc I had just gotten into a car accident in which two cars that were racing at night hit my car, totalling it.
Dr. Kam is very soft spoken and his receptionist (who also does massage therapy) are so nice. They offered me services at a discount knowing my employment and insurance situation at the time, and even pointed out pre-​existing problems that I too had known about, but never knew what to do about it.
Overall, my posture and other physical ailments were fixed, sometimes when my sinuses were blocked he’d crack my neck area and it would instantly open them up.
I do have to agree on somethings with the people who gave bad ratings though… Dr. Kam’s office can be pretty, if not REALLY pushy with having you continue to be their client or to sign up for his treatment plans. And I too have experienced the daily non stop calls… so I guess that knocks it down a couple stars, bc no one likes pushy people!

At first glance, I can understand the appeal of the first reviewer’s comments. Dr. Kam comes off as nice and caring. His first 2 treatments are good, but then he turns into this MANIPULATIVE SATANIC SALESMAN and pushes his sales tactics on you — basically pushing chiropractic packages on you that require an upfront payment of up to $ 5,000!!!

As soon as you stop going to him, you start getting DAILY TELEMARKETING PHONE CALLS from him or his receptionist, Renee. Good luck with your cell phone caller ID. Sometimes they call from different phone numbers so you don’t always know that it’s them that’s calling to harass you.
Anyway, all the aggressive phone calls eventually died down (I stopped answering my cell phone to avoid them… oh, they also try calling you at WORK and HOME, so don’t give these numbers to them when you fill out their patient form).
A few weeks after that, I started seeing a new healthcare practitioner, who didn’t want to give me x-​rays (excessive radiation exposure) so he asked me if I had any recent x-​rays. Dr. Kam had my most recent x-​rays, but I didn’t want to call him because I KNEW he was going to go into some Satanic-​sales cult mode, so I asked my new doctor to call him and request the X-​rays.
DR. KAM REFUSED TO GIVE MY NEW DOCTOR MY X-​RAYS!!! I am not joking. I didn’t want to deal with his BS any longer, so I ended up getting NEW x-​rays. By the way, it is ILLEGAL for him to DENY my new doctor’s request for medical records.
I should SUE DR. KAM, but again — he is so awful to deal with (he makes a used car salesman look like an angel), that I just want to steer clear of him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Kam ever since I was eligible for medical benefits from my work (for a little over a year). And I still go on a bi-​weekly basis for wellness sake and for periodic adjustments.
He’s one of the friendliest professionals I’ve had and his assistant, Ranee, is really nice and polite. She’s on top of her game and keeps great records and appointments. She also acts as a part time massage therapist on site. I highly recommend visiting both of them, as Dr. Kam takes all forms of medical insurance and is easily accessible and flexible should you need to reschedule.
One of Dr. Kam’s interests is city and national politics, so if you’re from Cerritos or nearby, he’s always ready to chat about what’s going on around town. Tell him that Jason sent you.
