Whenever we are in the market for furniture we always give Ernie’s a change to earn our business. We recently bought a sofa and loveseat combo. We checked Ernies first and found a set that we loved but it would be an 8 week wait to get the fabric we wanted. So we went to «the Mart» in Omaha. They were a little cheaper but again we would have to wait. So on the way home we stopped back at Ernies who price matched the Mart. Very pleased. Always willing to help out small town businesses. The salesperson that we worked with was wonderful.
We had previously purchased a couch loveseat combo that fell apart after only 4 years, but I don’t blame Ernies. It was cheaper furniture and with a house full of kids, it get’s abused. I do believe in the «you get what you pay for» model and if you buy cheap furniture, you get worse results.
Anyway, very happy with Ernies and they will continue to get first crack at our family’s business.

This review applies to bedroom furniture.
While the staff was very helpful, my wife and I were very disappointed in the quality of many of the bedroom dressers. A surprising amount of drawers were very difficult to open – and at least one drawer in the dressers was all but impossible to open (I got it open about two inches).
Besides the Amish bedroom dresser, we weren’t impressed by the quality of the materials.
We also looked at coat trees (like a hat stand), but two of the three were quite wobbly.
I am unable to comment on the other sections.
