Taqueria Lagos

Friends staff, tasty food, decent price! Very happy with experience, only one complaint is that they only had two servers and I had to ask for a refill on my iced tea, otherwise five stars.

Best Mexican food in town. Their tacos always have a bunch of meat and are always delicious. Their customer service is always good, as well.

Thought this place was so so. Carne fries were okay. Girlfriend got some chicken enchiladas which were not even warm (not sure if that’s a thing?) Pastor was good but I probably won’t go back.

Recently got take-​out for here. The meat was filled with chunks of fat. Really do not like that. Not cool. You let me down Taqueria Lagos!

They’re ceviche is the best I’ve had! They’re salsa makes me want to cry, it’s so good

Great Macahaca breakfast burritos but they never open at 8:30 a.m. like their posted business hours.

First time trying this place out. Gotta say it is pretty awesome!!! Had the Milanesa de pollo and it was amazing. We also tried the taco de alambre and that was the bomb. Service is great, a side from one of the girls filling chip baskets with the bare hands and never washed them. Other than that the place is clean, and has an open kitchen which I always love! I would definitely come back. Bad thing I don’t live near here.

Came here to try the menudo, it was ok because the broth to me was flat. Good portion size but need more flavoring.

So many things wrong with this place!!!
Basically servers choose whatever table they want, which is wrong
Took 5 – 10 minutes until a server finally came over and took our drinks
Took another 10 – 15 minutes to take our order because she was flirting with the guy server in the kitchen, like seriously? wth
She saw my pissed off and annoyed face when she Finally took our order.
My mom ordered a ceviche taco and something else.
Server either didn’t want to take our plates to us or what so she sent the guy over. My mom was disgusted with the taco, didn’t even eat it.
I got two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. Freaken low quality Mexican food like seriously. beans were way too liquidy and over salted, rice was not good wasnt cooked right and was bland. With me, I like and have to have my chicken white and that’s whats supposed to be in an enchilada. With this enchilada, it had disgusting chicken, tasted awful and picked it out. Was not white whatsoever. I basically only ate the freaken tortilla and forced myself to eat the beans and rice.
Will not come back here ever, and do not recommend it to anyone.
Of course i know what great and amazing Mexican food taste like (my mom is an amazing cook) and this place is not a place I would find great food.

The food is always awsome and the portion size is perfect! And they have great customer service! Some of the items are a little high priced, but you get what you pay for!

Visited on a Saturday for the first time and was very good. My sister and I spent a few minutes deciding where to eat and almost went to another place then seen this place open and decided to try this out. Bean dip was delicious, salsa was tasteful and my chicken enchilada was delicious! It now ranks up in the category deciding between las casuelas and la morenita… Will deff try again; maybe tomorrow as I’m craving It again :)

Friday night i didn’t know what to eat I Unilocaled what was around this place came up I came and I was a but hesitant because it was empty and they were moping lol I tried it anyway and I liked it ! I would decidedly come here again.

Their salsa, it’s amazing. It doesn’t always taste the exact same but it’s always good. I love It when it’s really spicy, bring back the spice!!! Good food nice staff.

walked in on a random night while waiting for my clothes to be done washing around the corner. The guy in the front recommended a chicken dish that had a creamy sauce… I enjoyed it very much. very tasty and different from all the other mexican food I have had at other places. price was average but more on the higher side.. I would come back

I’ve eaten more Mexican food than an entire Mexican army, and after going to this place my reaction was essentially ‘meh’. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything Earth-​shattering either. I ordered a couple of their specialty tacos (the one with bacon and other meats on it) and I think I tried a fish taco too. The meat taco was much better than the other. The food took a while to come out and overall I just felt it was a pretty forgettable meal. The rice and beans were very average too. Not a fan of the peas and carrots in the rice. I’ve seen that in fried rice, but never in Spanish rice.
Overall, I’d likely try other options in Ceres before coming back here.

I was craving a chorizo breakfast burrito and wanted to try this place so I drove over from Modesto. Their sign on the door advertised exactly what I wanted for $ 3.95. Score! But… Door… locked, lights… out. Current time: 9:15a. The door sign clearly reads «OPEN EVERY DAY 8:30am ‘TIL 10:00pm». I stood wondering if they had a family emergency or if they were merely lazy.
Whichever it was, I was breakfast-​less, so I went across the street to La Perla Tapatia which is a really cool grocery store and restaurant combo with a taqueria-​style counter. I got my chorizo burrito and ate it there while enjoying the other breakfast-​patrons. I’ll be writing a great review for that place! And not just because they were open when they were supposed to be. The food was excellent!
If you manage to get breakfast here before 10a, maybe you could mention to them they may be losing business to their competition due to incorrect signage…

I am Hispanic and I am very picky with which Mexican food. I’ve been trying to find a good Mexican place in Ceres and options are limited since it’s such a small town. The last one I went to was El Rosal a couple years ago and never went back after seeing a roach crawl on the wall behind my head while eating.
Any how, back to this little treat. It’s not a very big place. Prices are great, food comes out in a timely manner and to top it off, it tastes great!
Sometimes when I order carnitas at other restaurants I can taste that they have been frozen and here I did not taste that. I got the super burrito and trust me, it is HUGE, I could only eat half. I was slightly disappointed that it wasn’t served with lemon, radish and jalapeño but the taste made up for it and you can always ask for some on the side… This place is well worth it.
