Came in here not too long ago to sign up for new Metro PCS service. It was strange because I went in on two separate days to activate two new lines. On the first day, one girl told me that I HAD to sign up for the $ 50/mo plan(currently they have a $ 40, $ 50, and $ 60 plan), I needed to pay $ 10 to port my old number over, I needed to buy a SIM card at $ 10, and I could only pay with cash or debit. On the other day that I went to activate my other line, another girl told me I could sign up for the $ 40 plan, I needed to pay $ 10 for the port, the SIM card was now $ 15, and I could now pay with credit card. That’s a one star dock for not being consistent. Another loss of star came because on both days, the employees would interrupt my activation to attend to customers walking in to make their monthly payments. I don’t mind one or two, but once it becomes three customers or more, the employees really need to tell the customers to wait and finish with me first. Finally, the last star was lost because I found out that I was signed up for a lot of additional features I didn’t want, like $ 1/mo caller block and $ 10/mo Rhapsody music(and other services I can’t remember). I never asked for this stuff and came to find it once I set my account up online, which required me to chat with a Metro PCS customer service representative to remove all the bloat features and to prorate my $ 50/mo plan to a $ 40/mo plan. I’d say go to the official Metro PCS store to sign up your service instead, but that place is getting even worse reviews on Unilocal,so I’d just go in this place making everything clear about what you want and don’t want.
