Contacted Designscapes to come and give me a design and bid on a deck and some patio work. The designer said that he was busy and would get me a design in 2 weeks — then 2 weeks later, he says another week and now its been over a month, and no bid and design for the work. Throughout the correspondence with the designer, it felt like they either did not care about my project (why waste my time then?), or were too busy and could not manage expectations well. We got bids from 2 other highly reputed (and busy) landscape companies, and both were able to get me designs and bids back in 1 – 2 weeks.
All in all, a poor experience with this company.

I had a difficult time working with this company. Their bids are vague and their communication skills are poor. The actual work crews are good workers but the designer I worked with and the managers are spread too thin with other jobs to give your job much attention. The crews lacked supervision more often than not. The workers would come to me to ask what or how to do something and when I told them how I thought it should be done I later was actually chewed out by the designer! Chastised for helping supervise their unsupervised workers! My job ultimately was left unfinished and yet I still had to pay them more money. No, hire a smaller company who actually pays attention to what their workers are doing. If you do hire them, get every detail in writing ahead of time because they promise all sorts of things but later conveniently forget what they said to you earlier. I am very unhappy with this company.
