Starbucks

This was probably the WORST/​Horrible experience I’ve ever received at a Starbucks location! For starters, there was a whole bunch of unprofessional Commotion going on behind the counter, (three black females). which made me feel very uncomfortable & over whelmed. The drive thru cashier started a confrontation with a customers, refusing to give him a refund because she got his order completely wrong. Then she takes it upon herself to leave her work space to approach the customer outside! As all of this was occurring, distracting the front cashier, who got my order wrong. Then when i approached her about it. she had the worst attitude. She snatched my drink and then proceeded to make another one. Which she wasn’t thrilled about.
I usually don’t write reviews on Unilocal,but I felt so strongly about this a situation & wanted to share my experience.
I highly recommend no one going to this location, until they decide to change their staff.

I love coffee, but this place’s service is terrible, especially inside, as opposed to the drive thru. Rude employees, poor oversight, terrible parking lot (set up for fender benders).
I kid you not, there have been several times when I just wanted a simple cup of coffee, there was only one person on line in front of me and it took something like 8 – 13 minutes to get my coffee. Yeah… don’t think so.

I went through the drive thru to order a «tall iced coffee with no ice». Crazy i would order such a drink, yes? Well, hear me out. The last time i ordered an «iced coffee with light ice», i got a cup filled to the brim with ice, and some coffee droplets sprinkled in between.
I thought i had outsmarted them this time but i was wrong. They got me again. This time they poured hot coffee into a plastic cup, and then they filled it with cold. This is purely speculative, as my drink was warm when the cashier handed it to me, and the plastic cup it came in was wrinkled (which can happen when flimsy plastic comes in contact with heat).
Nahhh. Chill.
The drive through normally takes too long anyway. Youre better off finding parking on the side streets to go inside and order. Heck, maybe I can even see how my ice coffee is prepared.

Slowest Starbucks evvveeerrrrrr! Still love my Starbucks. But really send these rookies to Manhattan for a day and then I think they might get the hang of things.

I love Starbucks, but this franchise location is being run horribly by the manager, Juan.
All I wanted was a simple glass of water, but Juan wasn’t having it. He proceeded to lecture me in front of the other patrons, saying things like «Try that at 7 – 11 and see what they tell you. Try that at any other store!»
When someone graciously came to my defense and pointed out that at literally EVERY other Starbucks one can order water without getting a lecture, Juan’s response was «Well, not at MY Starbucks.»
I was publicly embarrassed and shamed for asking for water. That is unacceptable customer service. If you’re ever in the area, do everything in your power to AVOID this establishment. Juan doesn’t deserve the business.

This place seriously sucks. The only reason I come here is because everything else is out of my way, but I am thinking about taking the longer drive to work to just not come here. The drive through takes forever, and the employees are rude. One employee didn’t even hand me my drink, she put it on the counter and made me open my car door and have to reach up to get it. She barely acknowledged me, and walked away after placing it on the counter. I’m sorry, I am no Princess, but come on. I am literally writing this while I am waiting on the line for the drive through.

The drive through is always backed up and the Parking lot sucks! I feel like the staff is always really rude and unenthusiastic. It’s on my way to work so it is convenient to stop here however if I had a choice of another Starbucks I would choose it. I asked for a small green straw when I got to the drive thru window and the woman gave me a big one with the black wrapper; when I asked nicely if I could have the small straw she rolled her eyes made a grunting sound and threw the new straw at me. The coffee is always good and consistent so A+ for that. F for customer service and staff friendliness!

I love this location because of the drive thru and they have never given a bad macchiato but the amount garbage in the lot and drive thru area is ridiculous. As a business, the store owner/​manager (whoever) should take more pride in the cleanliness of their store, inside and outside. Clean it up people!!!

I love starbucks but this one is not my favorite. All starbucks isn’t created equal because each one have different staff. This one Im not feeling the staff. They aren’t as friendly as other starbucks I’ve been too. The barista messed up my drinks twice smh. I’ll try them again but only when I can’t get to another starbucks. This one will always be my backup.

Literally the worst Starbucks ever, the service is slightly better then the dmv… if that. Amazing to watch a cashier take my money and not make drinks for 10 minutes while the line backs up to 25 people… stay away!!!

Nice little area to sit and sip and what I like about SB is the way they get into festivals! It was orange for thanksgiving and so much red now for Christmas! Love!
SB unlike other food chains don’t lock their toilet doors making you request the key. BUT maybe they should. Or simply clean their washroms. Come on man! I go in for some coffee and pastry and before I collect my order I proceed to wash my hands and to be faced with a calamity of a toilet! No bueno. Customers, we must do better. They have provided us with garbage bins. When we’re finished drying our hands the tissue goes into the bins okay.

I go to this Starbucks location fairly often and I must say that they are just mediocre.
I love it because it has a drive thru, but other than that the staff seems to less than friendly or enthusiastic, impatient with orders and doesn’t always pay attention or get it right the first time. However, when the staff if right, they definitely make GREAT drinks. Perfect cappucinos and lattes… but that’s very spotty.
I would just give this location an average if not a little bit less than average rating. Since it’s the only one in the area, I will continue to visit this one, but not because I love it.
(The service inside is a bit better).

They make great coffee that’s why they get 2 stars but the service is another story. I went to the drive thru waited close to ten minutes since I ordered my coffee. When I pull up to the window the lady hands me a tall cup when I ordered a venti. I politely say that i ordered a venti and I’m told that I cannot get what I ordered because I’m going to hold up the line !!! If I want them to get me a new coffee I have to pull up to the front !! That’s why I waited on the drive thru for almost 10 minutes to now go into the store to get a new coffee !!! Absolutely ridiculous ! I waited my time in line for you to mess up my order and than tell me that other people can’t wait because they messed up.

What’s not to love about Starbucks, really though! This particular place is conveniently located among the shopping areas and in a busy section. The drive-​thru experience is always pleasant and the workers are friendly. The cake pops are on point but they can be a bit sweet but it is cake so duh right lol

PROS: DRIVE THRU
CONS:
1) There is always a long line in the drive thru in the morning. unless service is faster than usual.
2) Service is SLOW as MOLASSES!
3) The older African-​American female server does not take orders well. I ordered my French vanilla coffee with 4 sugars and 1 cream recently (my usual order-​minus the coffee cake) I’ve never had a problem until recently.
As she served me she decided to «brief me» with attitude on ‘what types of coffees includes «warm creams»… umm EXCUSE ME MISSY I didn’t order «warm cream» in anything! LOL
I informed her that «I ordered a French Vanilla coffee with 4 sugars and one cream». she then rolled her HEAD and EYES and said «what u mean one cream»? —Umm, «One Cream». I replied. «Whatever you use to add cream to each cup of coffee, I’d like just „ONE“ added to my coffee…» — – She then replied «SO U SHOULD SAY U JUST WANT A DROP OF CREAM»! —-For a second I thought to myself who the heck orders a coffee and says ‘Gimme a drop of cream” in that?
Smh.I threw in the flag and said «ok whatever, but I’ve always ordered my coffee like that and have NEVER had this problem before!
I was already late for work after waiting close to ten minutes in line for one cup of coffee with only 2 cars ahead of me and then having to be «briefed» with attitude on «HOW TO ORDER A COFFEE WITH CREAM» LMAO! I had no time to debate over such FOOLERY! It just wasn’t that deep!

Very convenient Starbucks, located on Rockaway Turnpike and with a drive-​through window. Now, you may think that the drive-​through is just the pinnacle of laziness, but given that the parking lot is tiny and frequented by individuals who cannot seem to park straight or in the lines, getting inside the store may be a chore.
Still, service is fast, and they make good espressos and chai lattes. The staff are very friendly and will make sure you’re well taken care of, especially if you’re a Starbucks Gold Card member.

Love my coffee… although I try not to drink too much.

it’s a starbucks. they sell coffee. the same sort of coffee the other 5 million starbucks locations sell.
That said — I have had to complain twice to corporate about this joint, because the drinks are very inconsistent. One guy makes it one way and its perfect, another guy makes it another way and its terrible. I can’t count how many Vanilla Latte’s I’ve gotten from here which were lacking VANILLA! (even when, on occasion, I have specified «EXTRA VANILLA»)
I try to come here during the busier hours — it seems the staff who have a clue are working the counter at that point. If I come late night or early afternoon, it’s a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of wasting $ 6.
Because of the fact that when they make my drink CORRECTLY, it’s PERFECT. they get the extra star. I would’ve given 2.
Other aspects: The staff are often genuinely friendly, the place is usually clean, and the service is pretty quick.

Now we are talking! This is almost a perfect Starbucks! A DRIVE THROUGH, so this Starbucks is located on super busy Rockaway Tpke, do not be deterred, easy in and out drive through and a light at the corner so you can make a left or right. small parking lot if you get a spot sit in and sip. The ladies that work here seem extra nice & friendly, big chairs to relax in if so desired. I am clearly a Starbucks lover though & through and this is one of my favorite locations.
