Gruhr Ltd. specializes in the restoration and repair of antique and modern clocks ensuring that work is of high quality and completed properly. We have many sources for materials and can make any needed part in our well-equipped studio. Average turn-around of major clock repair is 4 – 6 weeks, although smaller or less intricate repairs can take less time, depending on our work load and material availability.
We offer a one year warranty on full service restorations. Authorized service center for Howard Miller and Ridgeway.
History
Established in 1986.
Gruhr Ltd. Clock Repair first opened on Center Street in Cedarburg, then moved onto Washington Ave. in Cedarburg, and finally settled on the southwest corner of Bridge and Madison.

Timothy G.
Business Owner
Timothy Grabenhofer started out with a 4 year apprenticeship at Kraft Clocks and Gifts in Elmhurst, IL. He spent 2 months in England studying more complicated repairs at the end of his apprenticeship. He currently holds a Master Watchmaking certificate in watch theory from the Chicago School of Watchmaking (1979) and a certificate for the repair of the Atmos Clock (1990)). In 1986, Mr. Grabenhofer opened Gruhr Ltd. Clock Repair where he currently repairs clocks.
