Flying Fur Self Serve Dog Wash and Grooming

Really pissed. This is the second time they have cut my dog! First, in the armpit and now in both ears! When I called to complain she goes, I don’t really know what to say…” um, how about sorry! She says if a groomer knows they cut a dog they always tell the owner. Um…, I wasn’t notified either time. Then she went in to tell me the groomer was new, like that makes it ok. Never going back.

I have been taking my Alaskan Malamute here for baths since she was a puppy. I always just had her bathed and brushed, nails and such done. Our dog is an outside dog and everyone knows her in the salon. I had her go in for a grooming because she needed extra brushing and her paw pads trimmed for winter. What I got was a dog that had her hair shaved off, her tail fur was all cut off and her underbelly was all shaved which is very irrated with soars and nicks in a few places. The owner, knew our dog and one of her dog groomers just took the clippers and shaved her. Any experienced dog groomer would know that you do not shave an Alaskan Malamute. They said they did this cause she had mats all over which she did in a few places but I would much rather have a mat then a dog that looks like a rat! She now lost her beautiful long coat, her tail looks rediculous and I am not sure if and when her hair will grow in. They do a great job with baths but be very careful and make sure they know what they are doing when grooming your dog. I have been taking my dog once a month, not sure why they did this to her especially in the winter, now she will be cold and winter was her best time to look beautiful! She was a snow dog now she looks like a poodle.

I just took my dog for a self-​wash at Flying Fur. He was stinky from swimming in various ponds and lakes. The experience was great – much better than any other self-​wash I’ve been to! The facilities were great and eve rushing was right where I needed it. my dog came out looking and smelling great for about $ 11!

I believe that the best compliment you can give is to set up a new business’s Unilocal Page. I visited Flying Fur today with my two little dogs and had an awesome experience. The staff was extremely friendly and Cathy (the owner) couldn’t have been more welcoming. My dogs looked great! For someone who travels as much as I do, I enjoyed finding a place that will wash the dogs, brush their teeth, trim their nails, etc… all while I enjoyed lunch with my kids. It was affordable and the facility is extremely clean.
You can also self wash your dogs there, which I like the idea of as well. It means that you can dirty up their place and use great products on the dogs instead of making a mess at your house. The baths are at hip level so you aren’t leaning over a bathtub and feeling the back pain a day later (I have experience with that). Love it.
I would highly recommend taking some time to try it out.
