Super 8 Cedar Rapids

One of the better «budget» hotels I’ve been too, pet friendly is what got us to stay here, $ 10 per pet per night. About $ 60 and up for rooms. Rooms are current/​dated, it’s nice to stay in a budget hotel that does not have comforters that look like they are from the 80’s. Fridge and microwave in room, flat screen tv with a good amount of channels, clean bathroom. Pillows are a bit squishy, I prefer firm, but that’s my preference, everyone is different. Location is pretty convenient for food and other lodgings. Nice area. Room for semi trucks to park there tractor, trailer not so much, unless the hotel is slow and is okay with driver taking up that much space :) overall I would return to his hotel when/​if back in the area. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms are always a plus. Oh and there is complimentary breakfast

Not bad for the price. Room was clean and breakfast was ok. Room was good size and updated which was a plus!

Good experience! Booked a room and arrived at 11pm with a large dog and the concierge was expecting us. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff super friendly and attentive. Great stop on a long road trip.

Don’t be put off by the yucky-​ish outside. The rooms are clean and recently renovated!!! Perfectly nice and well-​furnished for a quick overnight stay :)

Showed up late, the staff was friendly and I went to my room. The room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. The only thing that wasn’t great was the coffee but this place is a solid 4.5 stars so I’ll give the benefit to them. Price was fair as well.

Amazing rooms, with fun Iowa theme of huge prints of the state Capitol building excellent customer service, attention to detail outside and in.
Basic room has stainless steel fridge, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen tv, granite (?) countertop in modern bathroom. Lots of room in parking lot for big rigs. Laundry on site (not allowed from 10pm-​6am).

Trucker Review. I had the weekend off and needed a motel with fast wifi, a good TV and clean room with nice bed. I parked the rig and walked to 6 different motels to check them out. I needed fast wifi as I had 50 gb of files to upload to dropbox. The first 5 motels all had under 3mb/​sec download speed or didn’t have parking for 18 wheelers. This place had 15mb down and 8mb up. I got all 50gb uploaded in a day. The room was clean with a good bed and had a clean big bathroom with shower/​tub. A flat screen swivel TV made watching football nice. There is a sports bar across the street and convenience store and restaurants up the street. Big rear lot for the rig and breakfast included. Be advised there are 2 super 8’s on the same street ½ mile apart. Make sure you get this one which is 200 yards west of the McDonalds.

Found this place via Priceline and it was advertised for 50.00 with taxes and fees 63.00 — room with one bed and for some reason we got a handicapped room — it is a pet friendly hotel and good parking… However my biggest beef was the bathroom shower curtain had scum on the bottom — these need to be cleaned between each guest in my opinion… yuck…it made me worry about the condition of the bedspread and stuff too… I was not impressed with the complimentary breakfast either… I would not choose to stay here again…
