Meet the Business Owner
Karen B.
Business Owner
Dr. Karen Besler received her dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2000. After graduating, she participated in the General Practice Residency Program at the University of Iowa. This provided her an opportunity to serve a wide variety of patients both at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and the VA Medical Center in Iowa City. Dr. Besler has a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry and through continuing education she has expanded her knowledge in cosmetics such as veneers and in straightening teeth with Invisalign treatment.
Dr. Besler is also active within the community. She is currently a member of Health Volunteers Overseas and Professional Women’s Network (PWN). In 2010, she partnered with Spanda Inc. in raising funds to equip a dental clinic in the Village of Kipkaren, Kenya. This clinic serves 32,000 villagers who desperately need dental care. She plans to use her vacation time to support overseas dental and medical mission projects
