Solid local townie ‘sports’ bar and grill. Standard domestics on tap can and bottle. Full bar. Several coin pool tables, golden tee and video poker. Sports photos cover the walls where a tv screen isnt. Surprise is they claim to have the best margaritas in town and have a decent ‘mexican’ menu selection. I’m not a margaritas guy so my opinion isn’t much but they are very tasty. I’m told they’re pre made in 30 gallon batches so its not a matter of having a particular bartender behind the counter(there are crates of pre-made marg mix behind the bar). They could be boozy or maybe the sour gives that impression, I couldn’t say anything but get me another. The menu is decent bar food, fried or grilled, with nachos and burritos and tacos on the Mexican side. The pricing is great — most everything is in the $ 5 or 6 range with daily specials under $ 5. I’ve tried several options and they’re definitely a value. Crowd is older locals, low key and pretty mellow. Jukebox plays older pop, redneck rock faves and country. Defintely a good place to relax any day of the week or catch the game.

Local hangout, average tavern, average food with good Margareta’s.
