History

Established in 2013.

June 1, 2013 Butter Me Up! debuted at it’s first local farmer’s market in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It began with 2 flavors including Honey Roasted Peanut Butter and Almond Butter. Through local farmer’s markets she built a large customer base and a loyal nut butter enthusiast following. By fall of 2013 the business had grown to include 4 local farmer’s markets, 20 local groceries and 9 Amazing flavors!

Now operating out of its own full-​time location at Freight House market in Davenport Iowa, Butter Me Up has grown to provide product to seven outdoor markets and the products can be found in many specialty boutiques or market shops in both Iowa And South Carolina.

Butter Me Up! began in May of 2013 out of a lack for such products found locally where, owner, Tracey Norman was living. Having earned a degree in nursing, Tracey already had an interest in nutrition. Now trying to find healthier alternatives for her growing family she turned to nut butters as a healthy source of protein. However, in her larger metro area there was nothing available that was fresh ground. After extensive research Tracey saw a niche for such product in a time when consumers were searching for more locally produced, healthier alternatives to food in their daily diet.
