The Hand Clinic of Austin specializes in the treatment of upper extremity injuries. To better reach the community of Austin and it’s surrounding areas we have a location in south Austin and a newly opened clinic in Cedar Park.

Our staff members are highly trained and qualified to meet all your expectations. We employ Certified Hand Therapists and occupational therapists who specialize in hand therapy. Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) have a minimum of 5 years experience in direct hand therapy practice, have passed a rigorous exam of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper extremity rehabilitation, and have maintained their certification through high quality continuing education courses

History

Established in 2013.

Robin Zumberge OTR, CHT and owner has worked in Austin as a CHT since 2004. After working at «big box therapy clinics» she decided that their goal and hers were not the same. The big box therapy clinics pressured the therapist to see more patients and bill more units in less time with less resources. Finally, unhappy with this focus, she realized that she could no longer feel good about caring for people in that environment and decided to open her own clinic. The Hand Clinic of Austin PC opened it’s doors in July of 2007. Robin’s goal was to create a job for herself and her coworkers where we could all come to work and be happy, care for patients as if they were family without upper management pressure and financial gains, where patients could get highly skilled and trained therapy, feel loved and cared for and leave feeling better. She opened a second location in Cedar Park during the summer of 2013. The Cedar Park location has been growing and expanding it’s services since.
