History

Established in 1998.

SUNsational Solutions was founded in the summer of 1998 by Jeff Thompson installing window films to central Texas. Gradually they have added in more product options into their line up and soon became one of the largest flat glass installers in central Texas. In 2006 Jeff’s son Jonathan has taken over the company and changing the direction to include even more product options geared for energy conservation as a whole. These products include window film, radiant barrier, attic insulation, attic tents, and energy audits. In January of 2009 SUNSational Solutions announced the opening of a San Antonio branch. SUNsational Solutions has received awards from most window film manufacturer’s in the past and has won awards from Enpro Distributing the last three years running. In July of 2008 Jonathan was featured on KEYE News «going green» segment. Today SUNsational Solutions has nine employees installing over 150,000 sq ft of window film every year and over 3,000 homes in the Austin area.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Jonathan was born in Indianapolis where he graduated high school at the age of 17 and finished one year of architecture school at Ball State University. Prompting a family move to Austin he continued his education at Austin Community College and completing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Jonathan worked throughout high school and college along side his father in the window film industry. After taking over the family business Jonathan has expanded SUNsational Solutions to include many products that work for conserving energy on homes and commercial buildings. Today Jonathan’s hobbies include bicycling throughout Austin, traveling, enjoying time with his fiancé’ and his three dogs.
