History

Established in 2001.

Susan Rubino and Chris Wenz are sisters who share a love of quilting. We explored the world of longarm quilting machines and fell in love with the APQS Millennium. It was an exciting BIG machine that took the effort of quilting away. Instead of manipulating large quilts through the tight opening of our domestic machines, our APQS Millie allowed us to use this machine to quilt Over the Top of the quilt like it was a pencil. We had the freedom to see large expanses of our quilt to thread paint our quilting patterns in the fabric. From this new found passion a business was born. We offer our services to other local quilters to finish their pieced products. We make memorial quilts using clothing of a loved one who had passed, celebration quilts using t-​shirts and other clothing and we make custom quilts to fit the design needs of our clients.

We are local APQS dealers of these superior machines. We educate & support those that want to own an APQS machine of their own.

Susan and Chris are sisters and owners of Over the Top Quilting Studio. We were born and raised in NY and we each moved to Austin Texas in the 90’s.
