This place closed down a while back and I am still so sad about it. I really wish they would re-open, maybe in a new location with the same hours and(at least) their basic menu. It’s so hard Greek food in Cedar Park and I miss my gyros! They had the best tzadiki and piled up perfectly sliced gyro meat on a tender piece of flat bread. Any other place within a 10 mile radius(maybe all over the metro area) has bland sauce and cuts their meat way to thick(and is stingy with it). Leo’s come back!

I am sorry to say Leo’s is CLOSED! Just when they started serving Falafel’s. I will miss you Leo, where ever you are.

My family and I were really saddened to drive by Leo’s tonight to find that they’ve closed down shop. :( **Original Review** Leo’s Gyros and Beef is fantastic! Chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, gyros… MMMM! The gyros were so delicious. I will certainly go back for more! The portion sizes are large. The prices are reasonable. It is a really great place and I love having a taste of Chicago in my backyard.

Did take away from Leo’s tonight. We are not experts of Chicago food, but I am on a quest to find dogs that taste like the ones that I used to get from vendors in Zurich, Switzerland… ahh, long links, with a nice crunch and lovely smokey taste. Not to mention, being stuffed inside of a mini french loaf(all of the Swiss vendors have a special machine just for making the opening into the bread and steaming the wurst). I did not find this sort of hot dog at at Leo’s, but then again, they were selling Chicago dogs and not the Swiss ones – can’t take away stars for that. What I did find at Leo’s, was great Mediterranean food. We ordered the following: Plain dog with fries(my dog side trip) beef kebab with pita(hubby does not like veggies, nor Tzatziki) lamb shish kebab plate Dog: It was indeed plain and since I did not order Chicago or Maxwell style, cannot say much about it. My husband and I shared it(about 2 bites each) and it tasted like a regular, grilled dog. Fries: Ever-so-lovely… nicely browned, salted just right, and not greasy. Yum. Beef Pita Kebab: Husband liked it, but did not say much. Typically as long as it involves good meat, he is happy. Lamb Shish-kebab plate: OK, this is a heck of a lot of food… it comes with soup, Jerusalem salad, a nice serving of meat, grilled veggies, rice, a piece of pita, and hummus. There was no way that I could finish this tonight. It is going to be 3 meals. I gave the hummus a taste, it is homemade and nothing like the supermarket variety. I thought it could use a bit more spices and garlic. I used my husband’s Tzatziki and put on the lamb, rice, and veggies. I am a Tzatziki junky and this one had a great taste. However, it would be nice if they used Greek yogurt to give it a better texture. However, it was great that it was homemade, not a prepackaged product, and was not runny. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, cut into chewable, meaty chunks. It also had a nice«lamby» flavor that was not gamy. Tasted the soup, it was tasty but didn’t really go with the kebab plate(they had tried something different… a chicken and cheese/corn chowder… it will be good for lunch tomorrow with the left over pita). The rest of the plate will be eaten tomorrow night. We will definitely be back. I am glad that there is place nearby to get a kebab fix.

I’ve been to Leo’s twice in the past week, and I think this place really has potential. First of all, the new manager, Adel, greeted me at the door and held the door open. Couldn’t be nicer and was genuinely interested in my comments, positive and negative about my experience. My second trip, same thing, same great customer service. Congrats, Leo’s and Adel. Looking back at the first posts, you guys got the message and clearly stepped it up in the customer experience department! OK, the food… I am Chicago, born and bred. The bar is high. I ordered the Italian Beef and Sausage Combo because I am dying to find something in Austin that rivals, Al’s, Portillo. s and Ricobene’s. Is Leo’s on the same level? Not quite. But still darn good, and the best I have found in Austin. The Sausage was very good, and the Giardanara was pretty close to authentic Chicago style(would still like it a bit hotter!). The beef was a little on the tough and fatty side, and a bit bland. Hopefully, you can play around with the recipe and fix this a bit. Finally, the bread was a littly TOO much. At first, it appeared to be like Rosen’s, but in the end, it was too bready and took away from the sandwhich. I have a feeling Leo’s changed up the fries from what I’ve read in the first comments. They were pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. I prefer hand-cut skin on fries, but these were pretty good. Nothing to complain about. Summary: Leo’s is still pretty new. I am very impressed with their attention to the customer and desire to improve. Obviously, from the original posts, they have taken great strides. I will always support local businesses like this and wish them success. Congrats Adel and staff!

Wow… i haven’t had this bad food in some time. For starters not very friendly at all. No hello how are you, can i help you. Nothing! The guy just stood there. So we were the only people there besides a family that was already eat. So you would think no reason for a long wait. WRONG. We ordered a Chicago hot dog, chicken gyro and the most disgusting order of cheese fries. So after waiting for some time. Our food arrives. I could not believe they would serve fries like this. One basket of fries with out cheese was soggy, greasy and limp. The other basket had cheese over it. Well let me rephrase that…“cheese skin”. It was like they scrapped the bottom of a cheese vat and that’s what we got. The gyro was ok but there was so much sauce on it. It was a dripping mess. I will cut this short and just say save your money and time. I would give this place negative stars if i could. Yes that bad!

mmm meaty gyros… Ever since I moved back from Barcelona last year, I’ve been looking for a good gyro place similar to all the doner/shawarma(and gyro) places you find all over Barcelona. Hole-in-the-wall quality, greasy meat packed inside of a soft(but toasty) pita, topped with onions and tomatoes. Though I haven’t tried too many places in Austin to compare(except for my very mediocre Shawarma at Pars Deli on Burnet), Leo’s had the overload of delicious meats(lamb and beef) that I was looking for. I’ve gotten my Gyro to go both times I’ve been there, but the décor seems fine, as some people mention here, Chicago-style(though I’ve never been to Chicago so I can’t say). Don’t come here and expect a gourmet, sophisticated pita experience. This is a basic pita with meat and yogurt sauce. Great for a quick bite on your way out(hopefully) of Cedar Park. Check it out, and let me know of other places you recommend!

Walking in, this place seemed to have potential, but by the time my food was served, I know I’d never come back. Booths and tables with stools, checked floor and Chicago icons on the wall, including airbrushed portraits of Al Capone and Hugh Hefner. The service was pretty lousy. The order taker hardly said a word and the food maker moved like molasses. Ordered a Chicago-style dog, chicken gyro, cheese fries, a soda and a Shiner for about $ 18. We waited about 20 minutes for our order and only one other family was in the place. They were about midway through their meal. The cheese fries were oily and soggy. The cheese covering them obviously had been sitting a long time because it was so thick and dry, the fries slid out from under the mess. Cheese skin(that stuff that hardens on the top of a vat of melted cheese) was mixed into the slop. The Chicago dog had all the right ingredients, but was puny and soggy. The gyro was small and sloppy – way too much sauce. The chicken filling tasted good. Every place has its good and bad days, but I don’t plan to go back to find out if this place has any redeeming qualities.

Leo’s reminds me of every chicago hotdog joint and thus reminds me of home… kinda. Stopped here unexpectedly while looking for something and saw the sign. Chicago style… hmmm, haven’t had anything Chicago style since I was home. As I was leaving a guy with a Cubs hat with a large order was leaving. Let’s try it! Had Gyro plate, Combo xtra Hot dipped, fries, and coke. Combo — ehh, it was okay, tasted reheated and not a lot of spice on that beef. The sausage was split which is weird to me but the sausage was yummy. Their giardineria was good, not spicy hot like I like but it was good. I wouldn’t order the beef again, maybe a sausage. Didn’t try a dog Fries — oh my word… reminds me of fries from home, so greasy they r soggy with skin on. My youth reincarnated in fries. reminds me of Frankies, Gene and Judes, and Greektown Gyros. yummy! Gyros — my wife is Greek, I’ve had really great gyros… these are pretty much really(expletive) good. Cooked off the spit, tzsaiki was lemony fresh, vegetables fresh… oh my word… you go here for the Gyros. So, I will go back for Gyros and Fries and a Coke… basta! The 3 stars isn’t meant to say that the place ain’t worth it, it’s merely a beacon to say that their food isn’t as awesome as what I grew up with but good enough to satisfy a craving.

What a great Chicago-style deli. My wife and I had the Italian combo(wet of course). Moist, spicy, meaty goodness wrapped in a herb bread at an affordable price. Brings back memories of my dad hunting down his favorite dives when we’d visit our family in Chicago. Thanks for bring such great food to Texas.

Cedar Park — should I say more? Agreeded, mall food. I think that they are related to Piasanos Pizza down the street. They landed from Chicago in Cedar Park. Just missed the mark guys. Maybe they think they can fool us «country mice». If they eat like this in Chicago(which I doubt), no wonder they came to Texas

If I saw this place closed tomorrow I would not be surprised!!! Tasted like really bad Mall food court fare!!! I went late on a Monday night maybe around 9:00 pm. My girlfriend and I did not feel like driving into Austin for a meal, so we hesitantly decided/forced on choosing something in Cedar Park. Having never been here before I thought getting a few things off the menu to sample would be a smart idea. There were only 5 people ahead of me yet the wait seemed Forever!!! I ordered a Italian beef sandwich, a gyro, a chili cheese dog, a Philly cheese steak and some fries. Everything was barely edible… I only live a short distance away so the«to go» part has nothing to do with it. The fries were burnt and soggy, the cheese steak was bland, chili cheese dog tasted of spicy canned chili, the gyro meat was pretty disgusting«mystery meat», the Italian beef had no flavor except the«can» tasting flavor from the peppers. I’m sure this food is a big hit to others especially people from Chicago, but its just not for me. I highly doubt this place would make in Chicago and Ive never been there. This place fits in well with all the other garbage Cedar Park serves up!!!

I got a gyro and an Italian beef sandwich, both were good and loaded with meat but nothing special. They were pretty slow making the sandwiches so if you stop by for takeout without calling ahead make sure you order a beer. They had happy hour specials and the TV’s were tuned to sports. I will go back but probably try something different next time.

I’ve had their gyro, Chicago style hot dog, and Italian beef. The gyro was good, with lots of meat and onions. The hot dog had normal sweet relish instead of nuclear green relish, and the hot dog itself didn’t snap like Vienna beef hot dogs should. It did have a poppy seed bun, and the other correct ingredients. The Italian beef was alright as well. I had jus on the side, and it had way too much black pepper for me. The TV channels were both on NFL Network when I was in last.

I’m going with 3 stars on this one. It was okay but not as good as Tino’s in Austin or Zorba’s in RR. However, it is nice to have an option in Cedar Park for a quick gyro fix. There was plenty on the Gyro plate — fries, gyro meat, pita bread, onion, tomato and small cup of taziki sauce. Just put it all together and make ‘yer own. Like I said, there are others that are better but overall a good choice and nice addition to Cedar Park.
