Love it! A friend made me come and I joined instantly. I hate exercising and at the age of 39 I never stuck with any formal exercise program or routine. But now I can proudly say that I am jazzercising and totally addicted to it! I feel better, have more energy, and my pants are looser, and this is a result of only 40 classes and counting. I love it so much I jazzercise at least 5 times per week. It is sooooo much fun, and the hour dance aerobics only feels like a painless 20 minutes. It goes by so fast because it is that much fun. Love love love it. If u hate to exercise, like me… then just jazzercise! U won’t be disappointed!

I feel like Jazzercise is one of the best kept fitness secrets in Cedar Park. And the most affordable. $ 46/month for unlimited classes AND free childcare! The location is super convenient and has plenty of free parking. The floors are nice and weights, exercise balls, and mats are included for you at the studio. What is Jazzercise? It’s not the 80’s work-out you are picturing in your head. Classes are fun dance/strength classes that you can adapt to any fitness level. If you want high impact, you’ll burn up to 600 calories. Lower impact? No problem, you can go at your own pace. You’ll see all ages of people(yes, predominantly female) and it’s a very unintimidating atmosphere. Instructors give plenty of cues so you know exactly what to do. Every class is different and set to current music; it’s great if you’re the type to get bored of the same workouts. Instructors also keep you motivated with contests, milestone recognition, and hand-written postcards. Classes start at 5:30 a.m. and go until 6:40 p.m. 35 minutes of aerobic dance and 25 minutes of strength training is the most common format, but there are multiple class formats. Check the website for a complete schedule. It’s a great work-out; the best part is, it’s so much fun, you don’t even realizing you’re exercising!

This location is next to Jumpstreet. Jazzercise is a fun way to start moving and grooving. Don’t worry if you have two left feet. The moves are fairly simple and the music is blasting. This is fast paced, cardio-focused with short repetitions. Hang in there, just when you think you can’t do anymore, a new set begins. Bring a mat for ab and a pair of weights for arm exercises. The workout starts with a warmup, followed by a few segments of cardio, weights, abs and stretching. There is a small babysitting room if you have kids. The instructors are friendly. The facility is clean and they keep the temperatures very low! This is a great workout for people who are starting an exercise routine. I would prefer a more intense workout, perhaps classes for different fitness levels. All in all, this is a good change from my regular routine in an air-conditioned environment.
