Excellent seafood at reasonable price. Had fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried shrimp rice and 2 grilled shrimp kabob platters. Large portions, fresh food, and good service. Will be back.

We had heard good things about the food at this place and finally made it up there this last Friday evening. They were on a small wait but had space available at the bar so we sat down. It looked like this place was ran mostly by teenagers we were there for 15 – 20 minutes without anyone even greeting us. Another group, which must have been some of their teenage friends, sat down way after we arrived and were instantly greeted and given drinks. I have made hand motions towards the end to get their attention and no one responded. I worked in the service industry for 10 years as a server and we were required to greet a table with 45 seconds of them sitting down, 20 minutes might have gotten us fired. We will never be returning to this place because their front of the house is mismanaged and there are way better options out there.

Favorite place in Cedar Park to get fried catfish and hush puppies. The food is always hot and fresh. The restaurant doesn’t look like much but the food is great.

Surf & turf. Fresh, flown-in-daily seafood, steaks cooked in a high temperature broiler that seals in the juices. I would say true to their namesake, they do these items justice. Sides are fresh as well, like the grilled asparagus. Another Cedar Park fav.

CR’s Surf and Turf has a large variety of both surf and turf food options. Overall, all of their menu items are really good. Their shrimp however, lacks in size. I was disappointed with how small the«jumbo» shrimp was. I was expecting some really good shrimp, but got a platter filled with normal sized shrimp. Although their shrimp lacked in size, it still tasted good. Good restaurant, but their shrimp needs to be bigger. Drake and Josh would be upset.

I hesitate to even review them because I don’t want the crowd to get any bigger. The chef and staff have it NAILED! There isn’t anything on the menu that when you think«that might be good» trust me, it will be great! The menu has plenty of variety to satisfy anyone in your party. Table service suffers a tiny bit when they get busy. I think they’ve outgrown the space they are in for the second time now. When I go out to eat I’m going for the food. This place has no fancy décor, white linen on the tables or waiters in jackets. Fine by me. They take all that work and money and put it into high quality food. That’s for me! Don’t forget to ask for a basket of their potato chips… only a buck… but the way chips are supposed to be made. Can’t get chips like these in a bag at HEB!

This is best kept secret… the best crab cakes & best bacon wrapped shrimp I’ve ever tasted! Love this place!

The environment was very quite when we were waiting our seats. The restaurant would be very noise if it’s full, not here! All the dishes were very good, we ordered salt and pepper calamari, XL gumbo(It’s huge), Cajun Stir-Fried rice(very good size), Cajun style snow crab($ 17.99/lb) and shrimp($ 16.99 /lb), 1 lb Burger(the fries were very good), red snapper. Plus, bottle of wine is very reasonable here($ 20-$ 22 a bottle). Definitely, we will come back again!

Great food and prices. Oysters were fresh, and served with delicious cocktail sauce and horseradish. The Mahi was cooked perfectly and served with an awesome dirty rice. My husbands lobster ravioli was to die for! Tony, our server was also great and attentive.

Want the best I ever had. But still pretty darn good! Portions were nice and service was decent. I’d come again if in the area.

Delicious food; charming, helpful wait staff; lively local atmosphere. I loved my dinner(shrimp Diablo w steak kabob) but I’m going to have to come back to try the lobster & shrimp ravioli… it smelled wonderful! These people do a good job of managing a large crowd, so if there’s a line don’t despair.

I wasn’t «blown away» but it was pretty good. I took a colleague here on a trip to Austin & used Unilocal to help me find something in the area. The breading on the fried food was lacking a little something to me, but my friend enjoyed her Gumbo.

Definitely one of the better seafood options on this side of Austin. We’ve been several times and they have great fried seafood options. And, their half oyster half boiled shrimp appetizer is awesome! Only complaint we’ve had is that the tea tastes about 10 days old, so order a water or soda.

I had lunch here with my 16 year old and we both ordered the po’boys with blackend catfish. They were tasty but not really on par with what you get in NOLA or even quality seafood. I asked for a healthy side in place of fries and I got yummy green beans loaded with bacon. My youngest stuck with the fries and she was pleased. This place might be pushing four stars except we also got half a dozen oysters — and while they were OK — I was actually glad we didn’t get a dozen. I wouldn’t hesitate to return though.

I give this place 4 stars for the food. It is really good and seasoned well too. I had the Shrimp Brochette, which was delicious. It came with rice and veggies and a yummy sauce to put on it! So now the service part. We got there at lunch time and it was busy. They don’t seem to have enough staff. They are nice however the servers don’t spend much time at your table to see if you need anything. You have to try to flag someone down if you do need something. So I give service only 3stars for today.

I was very pleased with my first trip to CR Surf & Turf Seafood and Steak, and I will be back. The dining area was very clean, we were greeted quickly, and the service was just fine. Nothing exceptional, nothing lacking, just good service. The menu had plenty of options, was logically laid out, and was very easy to read. The lunch specials were a good value so I had the Po Boy fried oyster sandwich with some fries. We also shared their oyster/shrimp appetizer. I thought the oysters could have been scrubbed off just a bit more(they were a tad fuzzy), but they were good. The shrimp was very good, and had excellent flavor. My Po Boy sandwich was delicious with gently fried oysters served on fresh french bread. My wife’s fried«popcorn» shrimp looked fantastic, and was most assuredly not popcorn sized but seemed to be much larger. I’m looking forward to going back and I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice seafood spot in Cedar Park /Leander /Round Rock.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It’s a comfort food gut bomb that will have you leaving fat and happy! Their menu is jam packed with options, many of which I still haven’t tried because I already have so many favorites! Their oysters and the cheapest in town and AWESOME! You never hear those two words together! Ha! 12 oysters for $ 11.99AND they always give you a couple extra! Their jumbo fried shrimp is deliciously crispy with just the right amount of batter. Their new england clam chowder is more of a chunky potato soup and the flavor is excellent — this from a girl used to San Francisco’s clam chowder! I’ve tried a few other amazing fried seafood options but the aforementioned are my favorites so far! The restaurant itself is always busy when I’ve gone but they seat you pretty quick and the servers are very attentive! Our drinks were always full and we always had the option to any side or condiment we needed: tarter, cocktail sauce, ketchup, crackers, etc, you need it? They have it!

YUM. Great food & good portions & reasonable prices! I am a fan!!! FRIDAYSAREPACKED– you have been warned. Be prepared to wait. Parking is in a private lot shared with several other businesses. Ambiance– casual– reminds me a bit of Joe’s crab shack but not as rowdy or dark. Service was good– no complaints. I got the combo platter– a FRIEDPLATEOFDELICIOUSNESS!!! 2 catfish fillets, 2 fried scallops, 1 stuffed crab, 3 fried shrimp + hush puppies & fries! SO filling & delicious! I loved every item except for the stuffed crab. The scallops were surprisingly juicy! Everything was fried very well– golden, crispy & not overly-breaded. Just right! Cocktail sauce was decent. I agree with Hollie B. tartar sauce was ok– def. not as good as quality seafood though! Also tried the crab cakes– it looked like real crab stuffing in a potato-like patty? Big enough for 4 – 8 people to all have a taste. Friends ordered the fish tacos(3 tacos of good size with generous portions of avocado) & surf n turf(steak & scallops & generous fresh-looking side of broccoli & rice). No one had any complaints. Definitely a go-to place for those special nights where you need to indulge/splurge a little but don’t wanna change out of your T-shirt & shorts.
