History

Established in 2014.

I trained at Baylor College of Medicine (undergraduate and graduate) and worked in the Texas Medical Center for 21 years until accepting a position at Lone Star Circle of Care in 2011 where I served as Medical Director of Behavioral Health. Given the shortage of psychiatrists in the area and my love for private practice, I decided to leave Lone Star and opened my own office in Cedar Park in March 2014 and continue my passion for teaching as Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at Texas A&M Health Science Center-​College of Medicine in Round Rock.

Business Owner

As a clinician, teacher, leader, researcher and advocate, all of my professional experiences have led me to this practice where I weave together all that I’ve learned into a tapestry of personalized psychiatric care. My education began at the University of Texas at Austin where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Highest Honors. Eager to become a physician, off I went to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where I received my Doctor of Medicine with honor. Fortunate to remain in the largest medical center in the world, I completed my internship and residency at the Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals Psychiatry Residency Program and soon after achieved certification by the American Board of Psychiatry a Neurology.

I’ve had the privilege of working in private practice, academic medicine at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston and in community health at Lone Star Circle of Care in Round Rock.
