History

Established in 2013.

Floyd Piano Company was formed in October of 2013. However, David Floyd spent most of his free time as a child working at the family piano store in Houston and began working for the company more than 20 years ago.

Meet the Business Owner

David F.

Business Owner

For over 20 years David has been working on pianos. He got his start sweeping the floors for the family company in Houston. After High School he started working full time installing PianoDisc and QRS player systems. In 2005 David was accepted into the Little Red Schoolhouse program from Yamaha where students had in depth hands on training on grand action regulation and Disklavier maintenance. A few years later he had the opportunity to train one on one with Kawai MPT Don Mannino specializing in regulation and voicing of the Shigeru grand piano. In his career David has installed player systems on virtually any make and model of grand and upright pianos. David started Floyd Piano as a way to better serve the people of Austin. He has an impressive wood shop that can make anything from pianos to hand made drum sets, to furniture. «If its not right, we do it again» and «Quality means doing it right when nobody is looking» are two moto’s for Floyd Piano Company.
