If you’re looking to hire a professional to take clean your duct, here are some questions you should ask up front;

1. What is your cleaning process?

A lot of companies that focus on other services, such as carpet cleaning companies, will for the most part stick a vacuum hose up your dryer duct approximately 4 – 8 feet or so. No matter how strong the vacuum is, to properly clean the vent you must brush the ENTIRE length of the pipe which can often run up to 30 feet with multiple turns!

2. Are you insured and do you offer a warranty?

MOST companies that offer «dryer vent cleaning» are NOT insured let alone will they stand by their work. Don’t be afraid to ask for proof of insurance, if they’re like us they should be happy to show you!

We’ve cleaned over 3,000 dryer vents and would love the opportunity to help you with your dryer duct cleaning needs!

Our owner decided to get into the dryer vent cleaning business after a close friend’s home caught fire because of his dryer vent was clogged. Thankfully, no lives were lost but it sparked his interest into the hidden fire hazard that affects a major percentage of the US population.

We make it our personal mission to stay up to date on the latest fire safety knowledge surrounding the in home use of gas and electric clothes dryers.

We’re new to Austin but not dryer vents! In our short time in the Austin area we’ve cleaned vents at many homes and business all over Greater Austin! I have lived in beautiful Texas for over 23 years now, and have cleaned many dryer vents in that time. I would love to help you and your family with your cleaning needs. I enjoy playing hockey, producing music, and spending time outside (especially around water). I was first made aware of the fire risk a dryer holds in my own home when I took the front of my dryer off, and saw all the burnt wires and lint inside. It was a miracle my house did not burn down with myself and 7 other people living in one house at the time. Needless to say, there was a lot of laundry being done. Since then, I have made it a point to educate home owners of this serious hazard, and it is my mission to make everyone’s home a safer place for them and their loved ones.

I thought maybe it would be a good idea to get my dryer vent cleaned. Or more precisely, my mother in-​law did. Little did I realize how bad my vent really was — the dryer itself, the ducts, and the outflow vent on the roof, were almost impenetrable. I picked Better Dryer Vent Co more or less at random via Google, and I was really impressed. They were professional, friendly, and thorough. Yes, they up-​sold me a bit by convincing me the roof vent needed to be replaced. I hadn’t planned on it, but David was absolutely correct, it did need to be replaced. So do yourself a favor: save energy costs, reduce stress on your dryer, and reduce fire risks, and get your dryer vents cleaned. And I recommend Better Dryer Vent Co for the job.

Nice guys that came on time and helped fix our super clogged dryer vent which was a huge fire hazard before. They even installed a new dryer hose for free to help with the efficiency of my dryer for lower electric bills. Have used this crew twice now and I’ve been pleased both times.

I called ATX Dryer Vent Cleaning yesterday and David was able to come out the next day. He called about an hour ahead of his appointment time confirming his arrival, was on time and completed the cleaning in about 45 minutes. David also recommended I change out the vent hose I had on my dryer as the type was found to be a fire hazard, which I had him do as well. He also set up a reminder email so next year I won’t need to remember to keep this on my things to do list. Great service, honest and dependable.

This is an update to my prior 1 star review. After posting my negative review, James reached out to me, apologized, and refunded my money. He was very professional and seemed genuinely concerned about what happened. I feel that he went over and above my expectations to make this right.
As a small business owner, I know it can be difficult to get things right 100% of the time and most of their reviews are excellent (which is why I used them in the first place). I do feel confident that if a customer is not pleased, James will ensure the situation is handled and take care of his customers.
I’m updating to 4 stars due to the customer service and follow up after the review.

Showed up on time. Cleaned everything until the rods went outside the external vents and cleaned up all the mess inside. The technician put everything back where it was. They also replaced 2 dryer vents that were apparently fire hazards. On a side note the dryer vent they installed does not heat up the space as much as the other ones that they replaced — that makes it worth the cost to change them to me. Excellent work — will use them again.

I called in regards to my dryer vent being obstructed. James showed up and was polite and professional. James found the issue and diagnosed it quickly and effectively. A second appointment was made for repairs and James was on time and did an outstanding time. Couldn’t be happier with the job done!

I had a different experience than the others who posted. Two men came to my door, no phone call ahead of time. They had no name tags and never told me their names. They did the work but I was quoted $ 99 on the phone and when they left the bill was $ 700!!! I feel I got taken advantage of and the prices are insanely high. I will not be using them in the future.

James is awesome. I called ATX Dryer Vent Cleaning yesterday because I hadn’t had my dryer serviced in almost 3 years. Terrible, I know. He cleaned out my dryer vent, replaced a hose, and went on his way in less than 45 minutes. I operate a small local business myself and so totally appreciate efficiency and follow through. He couldn’t have been nicer or more educated on what he was doing. I will definitely be calling them again!

I sent an email to make an appointment on a Thursday evening and received a response quickly and set it up for Saturday. James called ahead to let me know he was about half an hour away and he arrived a few minutes early. He was very professional and set up to clean my dryer vent quickly and efficiently.
Along the way he discovered an issue that turned out to be a problem with my ducting that needs to be addressed with my builder. James wasn’t able to complete the cleaning properly because of the problem with my ducting and only charged me a partial fee. The service I did receive was extremely thorough and James went above and beyond to help me identify the problem with my dryer duct and even offered to help me with my builder.
I was very satisfied with the service provided and will not hesitate to have my future dryer duct cleaning done by ATX.

Went on line and scheduled on a Saturday night requesting a late appointment and they responded immediately. Came out on time and were very professional! Loved the 1 year reminder option because for whatever reason I always forget to stay on top of this. Will definitely use them again.
