Touch of Excellence opened in August of 2012, bringing pain relief and relaxation through bodywork to Cedar Lake, Indiana.

Offering traditional Swedish massage, CranioSacral therapy, Reflexology, and other modalities, Touch of Excellence strives to deliver the appropriate service for each individual client.

Business Owner

After being laid-​off from Mechanical Engineering for the second time in 15 years, I decided to pursue a long-​term interest in massage.

I attended ACMS massage school in Crown Point, and discovered how much I truly loved connecting with, and healing others. The interactions of the muscles and joints throughout the body made lots of sense to me as an engineer, and I studied all I could about anatomy and physiology. As «real work» continued to elude me, I became more determined to make a new career as a massage therapist.

In school, I had received a couple of CranioSacral sessions and decided that this was something I wanted to learn to do. I’ve taken a couple of training seminars in Cranio and intend to specialize in CranioSacral for Pediatrics as the classes roll around.

My belief is that the body wants to be in balance, and sometimes needs a little «nudge» to move that way. It’s not my intent to «beat you up» on my table, but to facilitate the body’s natural healing.
