I’ve been coming here for about 8 – 10 months getting haircuts from MJ — its been a great experience and am planning to continue coming here until I move away. Men’s haircuts are very fairly priced at $ 18 (compared to $ 30-​$ 35 at salons in palisades park) and MJ does a great, clean haircut. It seems to get better every time as well. Looking forward to continued great haircuts!

Went here last minute for a wedding updo. I have long hair and MJ did amazing work, she was precise and creative. I absolutely loved my hair!

Got my hair cut by Chelsea. She listened and encouraged me to go for a change, and I really appreciated that. I ended up cutting off my dead hair and getting a cute bob. Try this place out! It was a fun experience!

Going to a new hair stylist is pretty scary. But Chelsea gave me beautiful color and a great haircut the first time, even though I have temperamental, medium-​length hair. Of course it looked great when I walked out, but more importantly, it looked great the next day, and even looked great 7 weeks later. And it’s even prettier after the 2^nd visit. It’s wonderful getting compliments on my hair!

I’ve gotten my hair cut twice here by Chelsea. The first time she cut my hair into long layers and was very patient in giving me the most beautiful blowout of my life. The second time she cut my hair into an angled lob (something I was scared to do) and I LOVE IT! She has the right balance of asking what you want but also using her styling judgement to give you the best hair cut for today and for when it grows out! The place is clean, chic, and everyone is very nice and professional. Affordable place to get my hair cut. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend.

I’ve been going here for a few month now and get my hair cut by Aiden. She is great and asks questions to make sure I get exactly what I want and she delivers!

I just wanted to say I’m so glad I found this place :] I wanted to find an Asian hair stylist close to where I live and MJ is awesome. I’m rarely satisfied with my haircuts but I loved it when I first came here in November or December 2013. My hair felt great, and MJ is really sweet.
Today I went back to get my bangs trimmed and she didn’t even charge me! I will definitely go back to this place for my next haircut.

MJ has been cutting my hair since high school. However, I moved far from her old location, but was ecstatic when I heard she opened a place nearby. I have hard to manage Asian hair, and am picky about who cuts my hair, but trust MJ wholeheartedly. I noticed that other places, my hair looks fine after cut but once it starts to grow a little it looks really messy. However, with MJ, my hair not only looks great after the initial cut, it looks BETTER as it grows out.
She is also super, super sweet and patient as well. It makes the whole salon experience all the more pleasant!

I am so glad to have found this place.
I haven’t been able to find an Asian hair salon in the area until now, so this is really exciting for me haha. They’ve got a diverse menu of services ranging from hair cuts and color to up-​dos, make up, hair extensions, and other various hair treatments.
MJ is awesome — first off, she’s really sweet and smiley. She also did a terrific job of cutting my mid-​back length hair. She takes her time and cuts layers meticulously. She also took the time afterwards to blow out/​curl my hair very nicely as part of the cut experience. Soon after, I brought the hubs to MJ for his haircut, and he’s been going back since. I believe his exact first response was, «My hair feels so awesome!»
With that said, it is a little pricy (starts at $ 38 for women, $ 18 for men), but I think its worth it for the good service and nice cut and style.
I’m going to come back for highlights — =) I’ll let you know how that goes.

Have been going to Kevin hor years and just called to make an appointment and found out he sold the business! Does anyone know what is going on or where Kevin went?

I’ve been going to Kevin for three years now. He is a very talented hair stylist and does my hair cuts perfectly every time.
One time I went to a different barber closer to my house because I was in a rush… NEVER AGAIN. That barber (who shall remain nameless) doesn’t even compare to salon k. Kevin’s work is terrific! He’s a very personable guy and will talk with you and joke around. He even remembered my name over the phone when I called to make an appointment. That’s impressive, considering he sees twenty customers a day (and I go in only once a month). Overall, I definitely recommend you give him a shot. He’ll give you exactly the cut you want!

Kevin # 1

Been going to Kevin on and off. I was looking for a hair stylist for a while and I came across this guy. He’s a very nice guy and does a great job cutting hair. Never had a problem with Kevin.

He’s been cutting my hair for about 7 years now and quite honestly I’m shocked to see the rant below. Kevin does do his haircuts in 15 minute windows but he is professional, very skilled with his scissors and is accommodating to what you want done. Everyone who goes here regularly knows how friendly Kevin is and how at home he makes you feel. I think you need to give Salon K a try.
