Meet the Business Owner

Doreen B.

Business Owner

Our names are Oliver and Doreen Bauer. We left the corporate world in 2000 and decided to do something different. We had been vacationing in Cedar Key for several years and always dreamed of owning our own business. When corporate america started to take a turn for the worst we decided to get out and go into business for ourselves. We new with our beliefs and our values we would make a fantastic business owners. We had never owned a business before and we had much to learn. We would not trade mom and pop motel ownership for anything else. We have our struggles with storms, the economy and other things beyond our control but all in all we are glad we took this giant leap. All of us at the Faraway Inn value our current guests and look forward to satisfying many new ones as well. Thank you!
