History

Established in 1978.

Haydin Insurance Group is owned and operated by Daniel C. Haydin, Jr., a licensed broker. Daniel has been selling and servicing Life and Health insurance in DFW since 1978. After working for some notable large agencies in the metroplex, he decided to break away and start his own agency. With the help of his administrative assistant, Melony Young, they opened Haydin Insurance Group on May 1, 1999, in Cedar Hill, TX. In 2003, HIG welcomed Michael Lemmon, an Independent agent, to the team.

Daniel H.

Business Owner

Daniel Haydin is a long-​time resident of the Dallas, TX, area. He graduated from Dallas Baptist College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He became a licensed Life and Health agent in Texas in 1978 and worked for several large insurance agencies in Dallas before deciding to start his own agency. In addition to owning Haydin Insurance Group, he and his wife, Darla, also own Split Endings Salon in Cedar Hill.

Daniel has been actively involved in the local community, having served on numerous boards and committees over the last 30+ years. In 2000, he won his bid for a seat on the Cedar Hill City Council, where he still serves today, and was Mayor Pro-​Tem for three years. In addition to local government, Daniel is a member of the charitable organization, Lions Club International.

In his leisure time, Daniel enjoys working out regularly, playing racquetball and coaching and playing for HIG’s coed softball team, as well as spending time with his new grandson.
