Advanced Pet Care Clinic

We have been taking our dog Finley (whom we adore, as most dog owners do!) to Samantha at Advanced Pet Care for grooming since Finley joined our family. Samantha is great with her and always a professional, pleasant and welcoming face to see. We appreciate having a trusted place to take our dog for grooming.

After moving back to my hometown from California, where I was lucky enough to have vets who all graduated from UC-​Davis, I was skeptical on my return that I’d find great care for my Collies.
Let me just say that just about every single thing that could happen with dogs has happened to mine over the last two years. Old age, arthritis, serious illness, chronic illness, puppyness, dental care, vaccinations, etc., etc. I’m also a terribly fussy dog mom. Add that all together and a vet has a tough row to hoe with me.
Dr Stevenson and her team — from vet techs, to front desk, to groomers — have been absolutely wonderful. They had compassion and cried with me when I lost my four legged kids and eased their pain when they were hurting. They’ve been efficient and I’ve not experienced lengthy delays. They’ve squeezed me in when there was a major concern and the doctor has returned my calls when it’s after hours in an emergency.
Dr Stevenson knows a lot about a lot. That benefits my animals. And, because she is a good vet, she knows she doesn’t know everything about everything — and will send you to specialist in Ames or Cedar Rapids when appropriate. Kind of like a GP who sends a person out when it requires specialty knowledge. That’s good care.
Vet care anywhere isn’t cheap. Advanced Pet Care is paying a lot of people to ensure I get the best service possible. It’s worth it. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in town and am glad to know my Collies will be getting the best care and my money will be well-​spent.
