Established in 2012.

Vino & Canvas was established in 2012 by Melissa Trinkl. Melissa Trinkl is an entrepreneur with a Masters of Hospitality Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With over 10 years of Entertainment and Event Management experience, and having created, coordinated, contracted, and attended 1000s of events, Melissa was eager to start something of her own.

With over 10 years of Entertainment and Event Management experience, and having created, coordinated, contracted, and attended 100s of events, Melissa was eager to start something of her own. With an amazing support system, Melissa had everything she needed. Vino & Canvas was born.

We love the arts, we love a good bottle of wine, and we love exploring local establishments. What better way to combine our love for our community than Vino & Canvas?! During a Vino and Canvas class you will receive step by step instructions showing you how to paint one of a kind masterpiece AND you really will paint something that looks far better than you could have imagined. Shout-​outs go to the teachers and to their talent that somehow magically manages to touch each painting. So paint a picture to hanging up in your house, give one as a gift to a friend or leave the painting randomly somewhere for a stranger to discover making their day significantly better and slightly more confused. (The latter is not what I did with mine. It is proudly displayed in the house). No matter what you decided to do with your artwork, you will definitely have fun painting to your heart’s content!

What a BLAST!!! So much fun! Best time ever! This was our first time and NANCY did a phenomenal job! She was very patient and explained things very well. She gave ideas for creativity. And commended us regularly. We will definitely do more of these events.

I love Vino and Canvas. This is the only paint group I go to. I absolutely love Nancy and she is so great at what she does. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. It is such a fun concept. I have been four times in the last year and a half.

Huge props to J-​WoW for orchestrating and inviting Linh and I to do something new. This week, it was Vino & Canvas, a wine and painting party, which contained no wine, unless it was in the acrylic set we were using.
Being from the hood, I thought I’d just roll up with my spray paint tag-​banger set, which is marketed as Crayola Airbrush Markers, also known by their street name: Blo-​Pens
But no, they dont allow outside food, beverage, or spray markers with stencil sheets… and that’s okay, because when you walk in, you’ll see your station, ready to go, with some sparsely drizzled colors on a Styrofoam plate. You’ll use all that real estate, like Foofa, for mixing up colors!

After taking some fun photos, we returned to our stations as the instructor was preparing to start. Once it began, J was a woman possessed. I had to stop and gaze at the wonder of her perfect circular strokes on canvas. She flowed with speed and grace, and it was noticeable right away, that she is a talented artist.
But I’m an artistic «leper», or «lemur» at a quick glance. So I listened to teacher and followed directions, not jumping ahead, and though my painting lacked the aesthetic qualities of J-WoW’s or Linh’s… mine was the only one to feature SpiderCat.
And super bonus brushes… guess what other Unilocaler was all up in the mix? Chris H was, and we all got a photo together holding our finished products! Unilocal Represents!

Finally took my first Vino and Canvas class! After friending Melissa T., I’ve been seeing her event postings and have been badly wanting to attend a class. After finding a Groupon for $ 25 and an upcoming class where a cat was to be painted, I wanted in!
I rallied up my pal Linh L. and off to Scottsdale we went! We got to paint the «Silver Moonlit Kitty» and it was great! Our instructor for the class was super friendly and sweet. We even got a coupon code for another $ 25 class. I had a lot of fun working with some really hilarious and energetic people and I’m sure the chardonnay being poured generously into glasses helped keep us all giggling. Let your freak flag fly, y’all!
Vino & Canvas is pretty amazing. They have multiple events weekly all over the valley. They could be in Glendale one day, Tempe the next, followed by Scottsdale the next day, and all at various times! There’s always a Groupon offered for $ 25 [usually $ 45 per class] so give it a try! Their website features an amazingly organized event calendar so take a peek! You can also hire them for private parties.

So Much Fun and you get to take home your own painting to give as gift or gaze upon in your own living space. The instructors are attentive & helpful. Your working space is all set and cleaned up for you. The materials used are top notch as are the many different paintings they offer on the calendar. We went to Hacienda Grill for our painting event and had enjoyed their tasty happy hour menu, which can also be served while your creating.

We used vino and canvas for a bachelorette party this weekend and it was so much fun! The ladies are professional, but also really fun and interactive. I was skeptical about being able to paint anything remotely attractive, but they walk you through it step by step and everyone ended up with a nice painting! The best part is, they clean up everything for you at the end!

I have been to two Vino & Canvas events and I am always satisfied with the location, the painting, and the instructors!
I think it is so awesome that they travel to numerous locations around the valley and offer these classes. The bars/​restuarants chosen are always classy and inexpensive options. Each time I go I am happy with my drinks and food at the establishment chosen!
The paintings are always fun! I love that you can use their event calendar to chose the paintings you want to paint! The paintings are the perfect balance of simplicity and complexity. I would never want to pay for a class and end up with a shoddy painting! Instead I get a beautiful painting which friends and family complement me on!
This is a great event for girls night out (or sunday day drinking/​painting), as a date, or even to meet new people! The groups are always friendly and welcoming!
The instuctors have always been great. At times it can be hard to see what exactly they are doing but they walk around and help individuals too! The instructions giving are easy to follow and the canvas is very forgiving! I have seen some people stress over the instructions and not understand, but the point of the class is to really let go and get creative! This isnt a paint by numbers class. You are provided with a couple basic colors on a plate and you are asked to mix them sometimes to make different colors. This is part of the creativity, you make your own colors and even shades! The paint brushes are always clean and great quality!
The only way they could make their events better is if they offered you protective covering for your cocktail or wine glass :) However ingesting a little paint hasn’t hurt me!

I have been to this three times now, and every time was a stellar evening. Once with another couple-​had SO much fun and decent artwork from all of us, once with a girl friend, again, fantastic time and but really bad art work this time. The last time I took my mom and her elderly best friend and we had SO MUCH FUN and had awful art work from two of us and really great art from one of us. It has to be one of my favorite experiences to do with friends or family, and the venues are decent and it is always a memory making evening. I HIGHLY recommend this, even if you can only draw stick figures

Loved the entire experience. I love that you can bring or order wine to paint with your friends. They have an instructor who walks you through each step of the painting so you feel confident with your painting and can hang it on your wall. I’m looking forward to painting the Christmas tree in a forest painting next month.

I had a so much fun working with Vino and Canvas! Our party did the LOVE /​HOPE painting and it was a blast! The owner and the artist/​teacher were so great to work with. They use excellent paint and brushes for their classes. If you’ve never painted before, just ask for help and they will offer suggestions and encouragement.
It was a very relaxing and unique event experience and I highly recommend working with Vino and Canvas!
I can’t wait to do another painting with them :)

I went to one class so far with Vino & Canvas and LOVED it! My 1st time painting and I WILL be back! I’ve never painted before and was truly amazed and proud of myself. I just recently bought a frame for my 1st painting. I’ve been to 1 other paint co. and Vino & Canvas is soooo much better! The Best! I didn’t feel intimidated and felt comfortable. Vino and Canvas is a paint party business that goes out to various eateries in the Phoenix area. Melissa, the founder, is often at the events. I have attended 4 so far this year, and am totally addicted! Its fun, affordable and let’s you be creative with no pressure. Nancy is the only artist I’ve worked with so far, and she’s great. If you enjoy being creative and meeting new people give it a shot, they’re great!

This is an outstanding event for friends, family or even a date night! All of the supplies are provided, including an apron and the venues are great and provide tasty food and spirits. The organization is very well done, if you have a group for one of the public events, you can email and they will set aside a table for you.
I am definitely looking forward to my next time. It was a lot of fun as an amateur to create something that you can hang right in your home.
