Well lit, off the highway, front desk was really nice and helpful, our room was clean and spacious.
Bed was comfortable and didn’t have any issues. Would stay again.

There must be a lot of hotel staff rating this place as it is nothing beyond a two star. The site seems to have only undergone a partial renovation. Breakfast’s highlight was lumpy, all-​gravy and biscuits served out of a CROCK POT. There was NO water pressure in the shower, seating in the breakfast area was for 20, and the pool was the size of a large bathtub.
On the positive side, everything was clean.
Stay again? Nah.

We stayed on a Saturday night and booked the room the night before from their website. The representative told us check-​in was at 3 pm. When we arrived, we found that check-​in was actually 4 pm, but the attendant verified that the room was cleaned and let us check-​in at 3pm. The room was very nice, newly updated and clean. We had 5 people staying in one room and they brought the rollaway bed right away. The continental breakfast was amazing! It was definitely the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. If we are ever in the area in the future, we would definitely stay here again.

Great value. I fly for work often and typically stay in a Marriott or Hilton property, so when looking for a cheap place to stay when on a road-​trip I typically cringe at the thought of bargain basement road-​side places. This Sleep Inn is much more modern and roomier than the typical Super 8 type hotel I’ve used in the past.
The free Continental breakfast is 100% the same as all the other similar hotel chains (same hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt or bowl of raisin bran). The rooms are quite large, although the shower setup in our room was a bit odd: no curtain as you walk around behind a wall to get to a fully-​tiled shower. Was a little cold since you were basically showering in the entire bathroom.

Great hotel, room was bigger than expected. Very clean and a very relaxed atmosphere! Front desk lady was nice and helpful! :)

Stayed here 2 nights in 2 different rooms. This hotel is very nice and the staff is courteous and nice. The rooms were clean and everything was in working order. It was also cheaper in price than some of the other hotels I called in the area. Breakfast was good too.

My family stayed here during a visit to Mammoth Cave. The hotel is newer and very nice.
Room — We had a room with two queen beds and was much larger than you typically expect. The room was modern, sleek, and very clean.
Pool — The pool area is nice but the pool is VERY small, probably the smallest pool I’ve seen in a hotel like this.
Breakfast — They serve waffles, biscuits, gravy, eggs, cereal, Danishes, donuts, and juice. Overall it was very nice. But note the eating area has only 8 tables. The morning we were there most people took their food to their rooms because there was nowhere to sit.
Front Desk — The clerk was friendly but seemed very rushed and disorganized.

The room was spacious and was a great deal for the price. The microwave and fridge were also a nice addition to the room. It was very quiet and comfortable and in a convenient location. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The pool is extremely small and there is no hot tub, so that was kind of disappointing to us. The morning breakfast selection was average for a hotel’s continental breakfast. I would suggest adding another waffle machine as there was an extremely long line for that. The gravy was also too thick and pretty tasteless. Overall, it was a decent stay and is definitely an up to date hotel.

So impressed by the stay. Rooms were very new and fresh. Small flat screen mounted on the wall and nice furniture. Walk in shower was very nice although it got a little chilly in there! The cute little pool was nice. Overall, great stay

It was clean and a good price. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was not so good. If your looking for a clean room it’s not a bad night sleep.

Sleep Inn & Suites is not very interesting to look at from the outside. As a matter of fact, it has a very Adams Family like quality, but inside you will find a modern décor and large attractive rooms.
Our suite was very large. Two queen beds PLUS a pull out sofa sleeper. The mattresses were heavenly and we slept very well. The complimentary breakfast included all the usual items like milk, juice, cereal, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit and danishes as well as some hot items like sausage, eggs and make-​your-​own waffles. The eggs were like mini-​omelets and surprisingly had great taste.
Other amenities/​perks included an teeny-​tiny indoor heated pool, nearby restaurants and a coin operated video game arcade. Although the pool was indeed small, our children didn’t seem to notice as they quickly bonded with other kids also playing at the pool. In a sense, the intimate size of the pool caused the children to interact more.
FINAL THOUGHTS
If you are a fan of Holiday Inn Express, this Sleep Inn & Suites will suit both your eyes as well as your wallet. Excellent place to rest you head on a long road trip or when visiting nearby Mammoth Cave National Park. HIGHLY recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay here, even if it was for one night. Very large, modern and updated rooms. Large bathrooms and shower. Only thing was the cold water from the sink didn’t get very cold for a cup of water.

1. Our room was not cleaned on our first day. Although we did have a DND sign on the door until 10:00 AM Saturday, we removed it and were out of the room until 3:00 PM. By then, housekeeping had left. I was told housekeeping reported a DND on the door but no one coordinated with other housekeeper on duty. Kind of ridiculous for no one to check with us before housekeeping left for the day.
2. Vending machine malfunctioned on floor 3. It took our dollar bills. We tried it several times, sometimes using quarters, sometimes dollar bills. It did not work and it did not return all of our money. I reported this to front desk staff who dismissed my complaint and said, well it should work. No interest on part of staff in writing report down, communicating it, or checking it out. Why did they not offer to help me?
3. I used the washer and dryer. We had a small to medium load. It took 12 quarters to get the load dry. The dryer certainly did not work well!
4. WIFI connectivity in the room was so poor we could not effectively use it. We ended up using our IPADS with the 4G/​LTE ATT connectivity that we have on those devices. Someone who had to rely on your WIFI would be out of luck!
Please note that hotel was not busy at all during the time period we stayed there. For us, the hotel rate was well within our budget. But since they are a rather pricey hotel for Cave City, I would expect better service. Check-​in was efficient, but not welcoming.
My suggestion is that they train staff on customer service. We found staff very matter of fact bordering on rudeness and unfriendliness — like they could not be bothered. I thought you make money from folks like us. We travel a lot across the country and Europe and we don’t mind paying a fair price. Of course, we know there are limitations on what you can provide, but we were satisfied with overall accommodations, breakfast, service, and cleanliness.
By the way, cleaning service did a good job. Rooms and facility were clean.

Checked in after getting $ back from the motel we originally reserved, this was a great find! Rooms are clean and new, bed is comfortable and staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good with many choices. Pool is small but, hey, it’s a motel. Great place to stay for proximity to Mammoth Cave National Park.

Great overnight spot for our road trip. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Extra star for the friendly and helpful front desk staff. We were originally given a room on the first floor with a jacuzzi tub but asked for a new room once we heard the energetic kids in the room above us. We were given a room on the top floor. I’ll take a good night’s sleep over a jacuzzi suite any night!
The free continental breakfast was better than most. The Belgian waffle maker was a pleasant surprise.
Next time I need a budget hotel, Sleep Inn will be at the top of my list.

The hotel was very nice for a road side type. The hotel had that very new feel to it and had almost like a new car smell to it. The front desk was helpful with the food options in the area. I do not guess I will here in this area again soon but this hotel will make me re think the Sleep inn in the future

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and very sleak updated rooms.
The free continental breakfast is not bad. Not that many options for vegetarians, though that’s fairly consistent with chain hotels in terms of offerings.
They have free WiFi.
The heater was putting out some rather dry heat though and was a bit much to take.
Easy in, easy out, very clean, modern, friendly, affordable. Seems like a good deal to me.

Very happy with our stay here! The woman working the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly, even offering us a pack n play for our 14 month old son. The rooms are nicely done and very clean. We were on the first floor right across from the pool and very close to the game room and yet our room was extremely quiet. Something that probably won’t matter to some but I thought was nice — the ceilings were very tall, much taller than many hotels of this service level. That, paired with the fresh and updated finishes, was a welcome reprieve from most dark, dingy, outdated hotels.
We didn’t eat the breakfast that was offered — opted to eat at the Windmill Restaurant down the street — but it looked substantial.

Stopped here for the night while on our way to mammoth cave national park. As far as what’s in cave city this might of seemed like the best option. $ 70 a night and I guess it has recently been renovated. Every thing was clean. No bugs no smoke smell. King size bed was descent. Small flatscreen tv. Mini fridge worked. The morning breakfast is worth passing on, go to the Cracker Barrel instead. The indoor pool I’m not sure that can be called a pool. Lol. This place is okay. Gotta remember where you are at. Take it for what it is.
