History

Established in 1720.

Established in 17th century as a boarding house on the last train stop in Catskill Mountains, this business also operated as German kids camp, Irish and Ukrainian resorts and now is a combination of long and short term rentals along with a popular local restaurant and bar well known for the very Best Wings in Town.

This place is far from where I call home but I was in the area doing some work and was promised the best wings around by my Uncle after a hard days work. B & B Lounge did not disappoint! Side note the Onion Rings are to die for as well. Would have given this place 5 stars but I didn’t see the hotel side of this place or experience a busy night.
Ended up seeing the hotel side of things and I was impressed. added a star.

The room gets 2 stars, decently comfortable but the room had a stale smell when I first got in. Place was very quiet though and certainly fit the price.
The other two stars, one goes for the bar attached which had surprisingly good bar food (burgers, wings, good fries). They also have a TON of pool tables with a nice open space.
The other star goes solely to the guy who checked me in and bar tended. I believe his name was Joel. Really friendly and if I were to stay anywhere in the area I’d probably come back here because of my experience with him.

B&B have a nice pool to cool down in the Summer. Wednesday night is wing night. The wings are half price and taste great. I have shooting pool and laughing with friends. Have fun.

Stayed here for a night while boarding Hunter mountain. I was weary of this place at first but once I got to my room I was pleased to see a spacious room with a mini kitchen, tiled bathroom, and a decent selection of cable TV (I watch hockey and they had my Rangers available!). After spinning my tires out trying to drive up to my room I head to the bar to grab a few drinks. No beers on tap but a decent bottled beer selection. I was there Wednesday and they had half off wings which tasted great. Pretty wastes dude was cursing while I was eating but you know what? Murica’… All in all, enjoyed my stay and would come again.

I walked into this place, simply wanting some food, and almost walked straight out after a good ten seconds. There were a lot of people square dancing on the dance floor, and it was definitely targeted a very specific niche of people. However, right before I left, one of the employees prompted me to come back in as the food was really good and that ‘dance music should be coming on at 9′. I should mention that this employee was also wearing a costume which he declared to be a ‘lady Sasquatch’. So, encouraged by this miss yeti, I went back in and ordered a chesseburger. Let me tell you: it was probably one of the best burgers I ever had. If you’re in the mood for good bar food with a bit of a country twang, please go here.

I feel as though 2 stars is kind of a diss towards B&B, but it’s got such a… specific? fanbase. It’s quite the redneck bar. Karaōke, pool table, good wings.
How do I put this nicely? Always an… experience? I went in there once after working a German beer festival, in full garb, for a little «afterparty.» A man in tight jeans, flannel shirt tucked into said jeans with giant belt buckle, 10 gallon hat, and cowboy boots COMPLETE with spurs asked me, «what’s with the get up?» to which I naturally responded, «I was going to ask you the same thing.»
Holy terrible grammar rambling.
In summation, B&B has a special little place in my heart because its local, and it’s one of the bars I used to visit before I was 21 that let young’ns hang out. It makes me smile to drive by. It’s…special. But it does have good wings! And it’s always… lively.
