Established in 2010.

We bagan as a small catering business, we were renting kitchen space and I wanted my own kitchen we began looking for space in 2009 and found this location, we opened on January 20, 2010 and have been very pleased with the word of mouth advertising that has us booked almost every night. Our Executive Chef, Herb Parrott, is most recently from the Viceroy Hotel and you will be pleased with his food.

Cello’s is named after my husband, Tom, who got the nickname «Tommy Cello» from his making limoncello with locally grown lemons.

Meet the Business Owner

Bonnie B.

Business Owner

People often ask if I have owned restaurant before. I have to laugh as I ended up in the restaurant business by accident. I was retired, Tom and I decided to have a party at our house for 85 people, I did all the cooking. My Mom and girlfriend helped with the prep, we hired a server and bartender and the next day the phone began to ring for catering. I spent a full season catering in rented kitchen space. At the end of the season I began to look for a small restaurant and found a vacated pizza joint. We opened –had our first review and I was in the restaurant business. Our original space had 6 tables and 18 chairs and after the first year we realized we had best get some more seats or we were never going to make it. So almost a year to date we added the dining room.

We were chosen by Palm Springs Life Magazine as one of the top 10 new restaurants and received the Orion Award by the Cathedral City Chamber as Restaurant of the Year
