Habitat for Humanity Restore

Large store, stock is always changing, so it’s always worth popping in to all the Reuse stores in the area. This store in particular is really good about posting their current items on Craigslist, so be sure to check in there as well.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend popping in, esp if you are doing any house remodeling, they have a rather large selection of home supplies, but there is different things at different locations, so be sure to check them all out. I like this location because of just how large it is. Keep up the great work.

The ReStore is such a great place to find bargains on great items for my home. It also makes me feel better buying from a store and knowing that my money spent is going to a good cause.
The manager, Katharine was extremely helpful when I was looking for something specific. The store was clean and organized and very welcoming.
I have told my friends and family about the ReStore and we will definitely be making more visits to come.

Went to the drop off location (8:30AM) to donate a very nice leather chair I had no use for and a guy in a habitat truck pulled up and asked if I needed something. I told him I wanted to drop off a chair and he said we aren’t open until 10. Asked him if I could leave it there and he refused. This was a chair easily could have gotten $ 50 for and was refused to take it because they «weren’t open yet» absolutely obsurd! I will NEVER again try to donate with how rude this guy was. You would think a non for profit organization would be happy to accey items at anytime. Wish I could rate it no stars cause I surely would have. On to goodwill or the dumpster I guess…

The store is clean and organized. It’s a treasure hunter’s paradise and there are some great bargains if you go often.

I have never written a review before, but was very compelled to now.
This store needs to read its own comments right here on Unilocal.They have left their own mission statement behind in the wake of staff changes. I have been a strong supporter of this charity; however, due to a recent management change, I feel I must move my donations (in dollars and things) somewhere else. The new management is curt, unhelpful, immovable on garage sale item prices, suspicious of its patrons, and a sad shadow of the previous management and volunteer staff. New signs all around telling the clientele in stern verbiage «do not ask to negotiate the prices of sale items». The very same items THAT THIS STORE RECEIVED FOR FREE!!! This new staff will not even allow it’s customers the courtesy of a hand cart to take items to their vehicles.
Example: I found a touchier lamp for $ 20. Looked it up on line and found it on walmart’s web site for $ 29. Asked if it could be reduced and was flatly told no. So I left the used lamp at Restore, and promptly found it at walmart ON SALE for $ 11.
I seriously gave this new manager a chance by returning several times after frustrating and rude service. I have been a steady, sometimes weekly patron, in purchases and $$ donations at the point of sale. However, I believe that time has past. Sad, because it was previously my favorite store.
This stores purpose, to raise money for a noble a decent charity on our community, has become nothing more than a run-​of-​the-​mill used items store. It has lost its kind hearted magic.

Excellent Restore! I hesitate to post a great review only because I want so many of their pieces for myself;) Clean and air-​conditioned, with a HUGE variety of quality used furniture for extremely fair prices. The store is well organized and obviously well managed. Two thumbs up!

This ReStore is the closest one to my house (which really isn’t that close) so I always make an effort to stop in if I’m nearby. They recently moved to another location in the same shopping plaza — great move! The store is now much bigger and better organized.
Every time I go in there is different stuff available. They always have a lot of furniture along with all sorts of building and home improvement items. Doors, appliances, tile, bathtubs, light fixtures, paint — they have it all! One of my favorite things about this store is that they tend to get large donations of furniture from hotels and office buildings in the area. it is amazing what you can find!
The staff he isn’t the friendliest, but they are always available when you need help or assistance.

I visited this Habitat store in Casselberry and was very surprised by finding exactly what I was looking for — a small fridge. I found the staff helpful especially the young man testing the fridge. People should realize that these stores are staffed by volunteers and that it is not like a retail store. Yes there is alot of stuff that may appear to be junk to you but I subscribe to the adage that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure so I am always willing to look through to see if I find a treasure. I have also found that not all Restores are run the same way or have the same kind of merchandise. It definitely is defined by the locale. I have been in four of the Restores – Vero Beach (which is HUGE), Ft Pierce, Sanford and Casselberry. Each one is unique and each has provided me with a different item that fit my needs. I am going to follow Casselberry on Facebook because I know I am missing some very good bargains. I say «thanks» to all the volunteers who help make Habitat such a success. For the record, I found the Casselberry store to be one of cleanest and well organized stores that I have visited. Anyone who enjoys «the thrill of hunt» will be able to not only locate the store but also find a great bargain.

I have furnished a couple of houses mostly with furniture from the local Habitat ReStores.
I scored a decent looking dishwasher that works at this particular store yesterday for $ 25.00 !
I bought a $ 250.00 window for $ 80.00 for my mothers Jacksonville house at that store.
If you hit it on the right time, the right day, you can find some good stuff at flea market prices.
This store recently moved across the parking lot; now its in the same strip as Sams Club.
The move seems to be for the better, if my visit of 7÷31÷13 was any indication.
I saw nice kitchen cabinets, a couple of nice couches (as well as plenty of usable ones) a few nice apartment sized dining room sets, and lots of sinks and toilets.
If you need something for a renovation, or if you’re moving into an empty apartment, you should check this store out.
All the money you spend there goes to Habitat for Humanity, so you can save money and support a good cause with your purchase.

Cassselberry Location: Disappointing!
As a regular Habitat ReStore shopper (College Park and Apopka/​Rock Springs), I love telling people about all the reasons to shop at a ReStore: always-​changing merchandise, great prices, folks willing to help if you need it, repurposing items instead of adding to landfills, and of course, supporting our community and neighbors.
After seeing lots of items posted on «an online selling/​buying site,» I decided to take a (long) ride out to the Casselberry store. What a disappointment.
First, finding it without the «We’re in the Sam’s Club parking lot» notice would be tough. It’s tucked into a strip shopping center, which is fine, but different than the other locations I’ve visited. If there was a LARGE sign on 436, I missed it! (entirely possible)
Once I found the store, I entered to find lots of furniture, some definitely worth a second look, and air conditioning (something not found at the other locations I’ve visited).
What I didn’t find was customer service.
In fact, two volunteer/​employees literally walked into/​around me three times, never saying a word. The lady at the front counter didn’t look up when I walked in the store and never said a word to me, though I walked past her at least four times while wandering.
The two teenage boys in the back were deep in teenage conversation during the few minutes I was in their area. I think they were cleaning/​moving items, though that wasn’t happening while I was there. An elderly woman asked if someone could help her with some questions she had. Reply: Yeah, I’ll see who’s around.
Really???
As I made my full loop around the store and was ready to leave, the first woman I saw (four times total) said, «Let us know if we can help you.» I smiled, said thank you, and looked at my watch. 23 minutes I had been in the store.

This store is very hit and miss.
It has a lot of junk and stuff that should be thrown out. That said, every now and then, it has some good furniture, file cabinets, old cabinets, and tile/​flooring.
