Great authentic food at good prices. Love Cuban food, so I guess I love this place. Plantains are awesome, and so is the rice.

I love this place. The papa fritas(French fries) are fantastic; always hot since they make them per customer. The pork dinner — WOW — enough said. Cuban sandwiches on the best bread and key lime pie for dessert. You cannot go wrong eating there. I visit several times per month to satisfy my cravings for real food made by great people.

It’s embarrassing to admit how often I eat here! This place is simply put one of my favorite Cuban places to eat. My husband and I always, always order the picadillo with red beans and yellow rice. Yes I’ll admit it is a bit greasy but it is absolutely the best! There are bits of olives and potatoes mixed into the meat and they season it just right. The red beans also come with chunks of potatoes in it too. The beef empanadas are some of the higher quality empanadas I’ve tasted. I just wish they had beef and cheese empanadas.

We ordered for take out and with the line to the door, we definitely will be calling our order in ahead of time in the future. So about 15 minutes after arriving, we ordered and in another 5 minutes we had our food and headed home. After that period of time our clothing and hair smelled just like the restaurant. I hate smelling like food when I leave a restaurant, it stays with you. We ordered 2 large cuban sandwiches and an order of sweet plantains. The cubans were good, but could have used more mojo sauce(we can ask for that next time) and the plantains were on point. I’d definitely order from here again, the staff was nice, the food was good, and it’s super close to home. I won’t eat in due to how our clothing/hair smelled after only 20 minutes there.

The food was ok. Not as good as everyone say it was. Chicken was dried and smell like old dirty sock. Services is terrible. The guy that take care of the food was rude. This guy need to be fired or else they will lose business. I love Cuban good but this place is not recommend for anyone. Check out other Cuban restaurants before you come to this one. I’m strongly advice to you!!!

This was our second visit and it was again fabulous we get the roast pork platter with yellow rice and black beans and plantains. Delicious! We also can’t help but to get the potato ball as we call them and again yum! Staff is always nice! One of our favorite places!

Hands down, Cubans on the Run is THEBEST Cuban food I’ve had… ever. Writing this review is actually making me salivate at the thought of the deliciousness inside this place. The sandwiches are amazing(Hawaiian Cuban and Brenda’s Specialty are my favorites), but even better are the hot meals. I live for picadillo or ropa veja, with yellow rice and red beans. The plantains… oh my gosh. They are doing them right! And you can’t leave without a guava pastry. Not that I am complaining, but just drive by and you will see what I mean… the parking lot is ALWAYS packed, so that should tell you how good it is! Staff is always so nice and helpful and you are served quickly.

Been coming here 20 years and never been disappointed. Love the Cuban sandwich, guava/cheese pastries, chicharrones, and pulled pork over beans and rice. But you really can’t go wrong.

First review, phenomenal Cubans. Get the midnight, a Cuban in sweetbread, sweet and savory goodness. Very reasonable pricing. Tastes solid with the hot sauce. Didn’t try the other things but they all look delicious!

I love some good Ropa Vieja and that’s what I got here! Great sides of beans, rice, plantains, and a Potato Ball! The Mrs got the Pulled Pork and said that it was very tasty as well.

I grew up in South Fl most of my life and know what good Cuban food tastes like and this place is the best in town. My husband and I have tried several other places and they don’t compare! The midnight sandwich is awesome! This is definitely our go to place for Cuban food

Delicious and speedy service. It’s one of my go to places for lunch. The Cuban sandwich and sweet plantain were far from disappointing. Prices are certainly affordable too.

4.5 this place was FANTASTIC cuban sandwich didn’t change my life but still STELLAR the chicharrons — seriously who doesn’t love fresh fried pork fat. they’ll cut it up for you if you want. im starting to tear up thinking of this staff is SUPER friendly and very helpful potato ball had something red in the middle, not sure, im sure its fine. looked like pork maybe? beef empanada is very good and very flavorful. not spicy but almost — probably intentionally. i will get the chix one next time. i wish they had this place in dallas. the guava pastry was a bit over baked but still awesome they also have another side of the menu which is hot entrees which im sure is just as awesome. JEANS: OK by far ORDER: at counter

A perfect spot for authentic Cuabn food. Cuban Sandwiches and Media Noches are just as good as if you were getting one at a street side café on Calle Ocho in south west Miami. Pastelitos de guava y de queso crema are just as good. It’s my favorite Cuban spot in the Greater Orlando Metropolitan Area.

Went today and had the pollo fricase and my girlfriend had the roasted pork. She had never had cuban food before and she was amazed. This is a definite must stop for anyone in the orlando area. Also had a cuban sandwich and it was on point.

The food was good and the service was fast. Everyone was nice but the young female cashier was rather dour. I had the Cuban, a coffee, potato ball and chic croq. All memorable. I’d go back.

CSotR almost makes me want to move to Florida– it’s that good! I’m so happy that I crossed paths with this amazing sandwich spot! I was in the mood for something not so run-of-the-mill, so when I came across CSotR on Unilocal,I knew I had to try it out. And I couldn’t be happier! First of all, I ordered way more food than I could possibly eat in one sitting. And I only spent about 12 bucks doing it. Many, many thanks to the other Unilocalers who suggested Brenda’s specialty. This sandwich is amazing! The steak, cheese, and plantains are the perfect combination with just the right amount of sweetness. I also ordered a hearty bowl of black bean soup, which resembles more a side of beans and white rice than soup, but again, it’s tasty and I don’t mind. And as icing to this delicious Cuban cake, I couldn’t leave without ordering one of their guava pastries. I definitely don’t have room to eat it at the moment(I still have nearly a full bowl of bean soup and half a sandwich left), but I’ll darn sure try as soon as my happy tummy has room to do so. Not sure when I am returning to Florida, but when I do, I will definitely make it a point to head directly to CSotR!

I’ve been to Cubans-on-the-run many times… it’s Casselberry’s hidden gem for ethnic food, especially if you don’t want to eat at another chain restaurant. I was first recommended to go here from my husband, who would eat here almost everyday for lunch. We always order the Chicken Ficasee platter, which comes with a quarter moist chicken, yellow rice, black beans and sweet plaintains. It’s a generous platter and for the price you can’t go wrong! That meal is usually good for two people, which is what we usually do. If you’re not full enough from that large meal, they have excellent sizes, I recommend the potato ball(papa rellena) or the Arepas, which is basically 2 sweet corn patties with cheese in the middle. yum! I will be back!
